Has anyone come across this crowd before?

There was a piece about them in The Economist recently, and they looked quite interesting.

Property, Infrastructure, Utilities.

If I am correct, they are the Canadian outfit that joined with Infratil and purchased Vodafone NZ.....nice wee upswing to the Infratil capital value.

Thanks BeeBop.

Yes, the Canadians. The Economist article featured a whacking great development in Manhattan

Several strings to their bow - Utilities, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Property. Each "division" trading separately in Toronto/New York. I think they deserve a closer look. . .

This is the link to the article I read. Sorry if it's paywalled.

Managed to find it free on Brookfield's own website....coffee money preserved! Noting its purchase of Oakfield Capital and rather taken by its 10-year chart (enough to get me interested in looking).

They're like a bl**dy octopus!

However it looks as though I won't be doing it via Luxembourg -

"The Brookfield stocks in general are not available through us as, even though they are traded on the TSX, they are registered in the Bermudas, which our custodian is unable to support."

Quelle bummeur, as they say in Quebec. . .
