Weakening NZ $ against US $ ,will mean imports will cost more,and will put further pressure on retailers' margins.
Competition is already hurting margins.
Even HLG's share price has dropped below its 100 day moving average..

The past few weeks has seen a big increase in the shareprice from briscoes from circa 390 up to 4.40’s and now in the past few days as news of this virus has hit heightened irrational levels the shareprice has plunged back down to where it was a few weeks ago.

very out of the ordinary for briscoes to experience large movements being tightly held but doesn’t even warrent a blink.
