deja vu....Goodwood Capital Limited (NZX:GWC) reported loss after tax of $57,481 for the year ended 30 September due to costs associated with the Company’s elimination from liquidation and accounting as well as administration costs.

Following the withdrawal of the Company from liquidation after a High Court order dated 9 October, the Board is focussing towards restructuring and lifting the trading suspension of the Company’s stock that was levied when the Company was initially liquidated many years earlier.

The Board is currently looking to find an acceptable market opportunity by way of a reverse takeover deal (RTO) to invest in and/or purchase.

accompanied by a Cap Raise to bankroll offloading the Listed Shell

If you like - a scenario a bit like the Bethune's Shell bought out by TLL and former holders possibly
diluted down the creek courtesy of the exercise .. ;)

A small piece of some other action however is possibly better than a larger piece of a big fat Zero
and the whole job left basically abandoned to drift down the river .. ;)

Business looks legitimate with moderate risk and in a good industry and looking to grow. Looks pretty decent but haven't seen any financials to know whether the financials hold up or not.

" In short, the audit process for WasteCo has taken longer to conclude than originally contemplated at the outset of the process. Currently, it is anticipated that:

(a) the audit for the FY ended 31 March 2021 will be completed within the next two weeks; and
(b) the audit for the FY ended 31 March 2022 will be completed by the end of September."

The unaudited results for FY 22 (31 March year) are anticipated to comprise consolidated revenues in excess of $19 million (FY21: $10.9 million), and EBITDA in excess of $4 million (FY21: $2.8 million)

Its quite a diversified company by the looks of it and not heavily reliant on a building boom.

They have a sweeper business, industrial services, recycling and medical waste disposal as other services not related to the building boom.

Expansion plans look to be further acquisitions of south island businesses and the start of a north island service starting in partnership with a current client.

A lot of ambition with a massive appetite for making acquisitions growing revenues from $10.3m to $18.7m. Commitments of $4 million from wholesale investors to fuel more acquisitions but the worrying factor will be the $11.8 million in debt and the $971,000 in interest cost. They are producing millions in free cashflow from their operating activity, but probably not a good idea to be living on a knifes edge, though if it pays off and the business thrives then they will have one good return. Almost feels like a all or nothing approach.
