Over $10 today. Great run from $4 late last year.

Over the course of the last year Sirtex has risen from $15.78 (17-Mar-14) to $39.13 yesterday.

Then this announcement (http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20150317/pdf/42xbhv2z2jp7f4.pdf) happened:

Currently kicking around $17.

Managed to avoid that particulr banana skin. Had a quick look at hotcopper today, and cant believe the level of moronic behavior at that place. Knew they were childish, but some of the stuff on that thread today takes the biscuit. People crowing about how they shorted it, and of course they KNEW the trial would fail.
Considering the treatment could have saved lives (if it worked) and the fact many on the thread have lost significant money with the sell off .those crowing really ought to have more sense, but there really are some low lives at that place, wont be going back there in a hurry

The brain is not very good at dealing with compound percentage growth over a long time frame, hence the discomfort we have with buying things like SRX. Glad that I also managed to overcome that recently (albeit far far far too late after having a good look 3 years ago) and took a position.
Still risks involved so it is not (yet) destined to be my largest holding, but we will see how the attempt to move to first line therapy tracks.

Wow this mkt darling has fallen from grace; re $40 to $14 and now CEO is being investigated for insider share dealings! Trading update(as above) forecast EBITDA to be down re 14%. Was priced high for growth; not now; sharp retrace.S/P had been dropping for a while so some folks knew.
