Hi Miner....these guys can move to production pretty quickly.

Glengarry Resources Ltd (GGY) sold their Charters Towers project into the IP0...GGY remain a substantial shareholder in MNM with 3 million shares

Market cap of $8 mil, with lots and lots going on!!

1) Two Advanced Gold Projects in Queensland
o Great Britain Deposit
o Granite Castle Deposit

combined JORC resources of 290,000 oz Au

2) Highly gold prospective ground in Eastern Victoria

a six kilometre gold anomalous corridor (with rock chip values to 42gm/t Au) along a major structure currently being drilled

3) Highly prospective uranium ground in Queensland

as announced yesterday:

" The Phantom Creek tenement is approximately 200km North West of Charters
Towers and is considered to have potential to host both in situ and drainage
channel, roll front uranium occurrences.
Mantle will now finalise and proceed to implement its exploration programme for
the tenement, in the context that three of its four uranium tenement applications
in Queensland have now been granted, and a properly managed and integrated
exploration effort will now be implemented.
An important related positive note is that the Premier of Queensland, Peter
Beattie, has been reported as stating that he now supports the development of
uranium mining in Queensland on the condition that it is only sold to countries
that have signed the non-proliferation treaty.
Managing director, Stephen de Belle, said “These are two important milestones–
firstly, allowing us to get on with the uranium exploration activity outlined in our
prospectus and, secondly, allowing us to be more confident of being able to
attribute real value to positive exploration results, without the policy caveat that
has been applicable to date.”

MNM is currently re-rating but still significant upside.

Lots of drilling, resource upgrades and positive news flow to come.

MNM up a whopping 42% to 25c today, MNMO up 66% to 9.5c after today's announcement:

http://www.stocknessmonster.com/news-item?S=MNM&E=ASX&N=405431

I unfortunately missed the rise, but now that MNM hit MNMO exercise price of 25c, things should get interesting. Will the massive volumes continue? Is this another potential big MAK? Given that they have some areas close to MAK, it might go up further on speculation... worth keeping an eye on this stock on da back of the phosphate boom.

Market cap still around $15 million (I think, correct me if I am wrong).

Anyone made a mozza today?

Mantle’s Phosphate & Uranium Tenement Exploration

Summary:
Desktop studies by Mantle Mining Corporation Ltd (ASX: MNM) covering four recently granted exploration leases in the Northern Territory have identified a number of targets that are prospective for phosphate and may contain uranium. Fieldwork is scheduled to commence in June 2008.

Mantle’s Barkly Phosphate Tenements
In early 2007 Mantle recognised the emergence of strong commodity price fundamentals for both phosphate rock (fertiliser) and uranium (low carbon intensity energy). The company evaluated a number of areas and made application for four leases strategically located just north of the Barkly Highway.

Application for these leases was made on the basis of their prospectivity for both phosphate and uranium, especially in the potential geological setting known as phosphorites. An example of this type of deposit is the Wonarah Phosphate Deposit, held by MineMakers.

The tenements, EL’s 26018, 26019, 26020 and 26021, are located just to the north-east of the Wonarah Deposit and were granted to Mantle during December 2007 and January 2008, each with a six-year term. Desktop studies on these tenements have commenced and a number of prospective horizons and basement palaeohighs have been identified.

Further work, including analysis of gravity, aeromagnetics and radiometrics, is continuing.
With the dramatic increases in the price of phosphate, from US$50 per tonne just 12 months ago to over US$350 per tonne in the last few weeks, Mantle believes the four large tenements comprising the Barkly Project have the potential to contain significant deposits of phosphate with additional potential for uranium credits.

Mantle wishes to advise the market that the company plans to start field work on these tenements during the dry season commencing June 2008. Reconnaissance mapping and sampling will be undertaken over selected targets identified during the desktop studies. The targets will then be refined by geophysical techniques and some selected target zones will subsequently be drilled by air core or RAB.

About Mantle Mining
Mantle Mining is a dynamic exploration and resource company with a diversified portfolio of tenements and resources, including:

• A large previously-mined coal deposit in far north Queensland
• Two Advanced gold projects in north Queensland
o Great Britain Deposit
o Granite Castle Deposit
• Highly prospective historicallymined gold leases in eastern Victoria
• Highly prospective uranium leases in Queensland
• Highly prospective phosphate and uranium leases in the Northern Territory
(A) Mantle recently acquired Trafford Coal, including the Mount Mulligan
deposit and former mine, near Cairns and is currently negotiating to secure an access agreement as a prerequisite for exploration activities.

(B) Mantle has recently assembled a high quality suite of projects, mostly west of Charters Towers, where the Granite Castle and Great Britain deposits contain combined JORC standard inferred resources of 290,000 ozs of gold, and where second-phase post IPO drilling is in progress.

(C) In eastern Victoria, Mantle has secured highly prospective leases covering a six kilometre gold-anomalous corridor within a major fault structure. Mantle is currently completing its second drilling campaign on these leases.

(D) Mantle has secured two tenements near Julia Creek in western Queensland that are highly prospective for uranium.

(E) In the Northern Territory, Mantle has recently been granted four exploration leases that are highly prospective for both uranium and phosphate. The rapidly escalating demand for fertilizer has placed renewed focus on these leases.

Hold a few from way back, so recovered my losses + some today.

I think market cap is actually less than $15m, so still very good value given its potential.

Well done Steve mate, certainly a lot of hot air surrounding this small cap... MNM is quite diverse for its size, it's quite interesting that no one could care about their coal before its phosphate potential came to light.

Thanx colin, no I haven't passed out but am a bit gutted that I hadn't purchased more... I am 50% invested in the market but not quite confortable to extend that any further yet.

Chart:

Anyway, MNMO has been a great predictable trade due to its leverage.

I have been collecting profits along the way though, every time it goes up more than 20% per day I religiously take profits, so as to avoid "tear" scenario, hehehe... This way I never make a loss (although sometimes shaves a bit off further potential gains... but hey, never good to be too greedy!)

I think MNM & MNMO will be a great stock to trade in the months ahead considering the hype surrounding potash/phosophate prospects!!

Nice work with MNMO Tommy!

Its amazing how quickly sentiment can turn on these specs and how quickly they run.

I held MNM for over a year at a 15% - 25% loss, then within a week am up 100%!

MNM should hit $1.00 in the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Hi Tommy,

Yes mate as you said, MNM is quite diverse for its size and it's quite interesting nonetheless.

I bought a small parcel of the options at 4.5c (bargain) however I still feel there is alot more to come with this co.

Lots of debate of folks batting for phosphate and some for coal. IMO, its great that it has both, but results in June will be patiently awaited for the phos, thats fer sure.

I am in for the coal myself and if there is plenty of phosphate there, then thats a bonus that will propel this stock nice.

Anyways, keep up the good posts.

tommy

Hi drillfix, well done for buying MNMO on da cheap, MNM has a lot of potential given its small cap, I expect more speculation to arise in June...

Although June is generally a boring month due to many investors selling out and closing their positions before tax deadline, phosphate and UCG sector should continue to entertain us as long as food supply remains tight and oil prices continue to surge!

drillfix
16-05-2008, 08:01 PM
Hi tommy,

I agree, June is a bit of a "how ya goin" type of month.

But then many stocks will be going through this with many expecting or anticipating news. Some of which may even be company maker type news so out of all the speckie hopefuls out there, somewhere along the line, somebody is going to miss out or wish they had bought.

Ahh well, I only hold a small parcel of these so I think will just hold regardless of any outcome~!

Many ramping on about the Phospate and being next door to MAK, which is good and wonderful  , but I too am in this for the exposure to Coal :)

I wanted to pickup some FPO however the timing of matters is beyond anybodies control. Once its off, its off.

Would love to pick some up but like many, not much cashflow to buy~!

THE DIRECTORS ARE TOPPING UP albeit only 5-600000 shares.
at 6.7cps market cap of $11.5Mill .
Makes me wonder if MNM would make a tasty snack for Exergen
Heres exergens profile
Exergen – The Company

Exergen is a company founded in Australia to leverage the extraordinary vertical autoclave technology invented by Peter Tait and Don Nicklin and developed with the support of Martin Albrecht and Dale Elphinstone.

Exergen shareholders now also include Thiess, a leading construction and mining services provider, Tata Power, a member of the Indian Tata Group of Companies, Itochu Corporation a major Japanese trading company and engineering specialist, Sedgman Limited.

The environmentally focused philosophy of the organization is reflected in its prioritisation of the application of the Exergen technology to lignite and subbituminous coals.

I have been running at a paper loss at times on MNM.Theres that old saying 'you never go broke taking a profit" .It seems here on MNM there may well be someone accumulating (or just people feeding off hype) .

SP still moving ahead 29 cps now .While I was looking at holding all I decided descretion the greater part of valour and to take all the risk away and take a profit, the remaining 50000 will ride on into destruction or glory.

HI Drillfix,
I understand what you are saying but are you right ?
In effect I have derisked my investment taken a profit and allowed the share to run .
I have done a considerable amount of research on MNM (otherwise wouldnt have bought in the first place).
Yesterday nearly 10% of the market cap was traded today SO FAR over 10% of the market cap has been traded.
You may well be right with your expected pullback HOWEVER if I had sold all I probably would NOT buy back in because for that to happen the way I see it either the whole market had tanked or the company fundamentals would have changed and therefore the reason I bought in the first place would no longer be valid.
Equally I could have sold when they were showing me a paper loss. Then would have had to retime entry and exit. Not that flash on TA but DO APPRECIATE it and those that are good at it.For me and my simple mind it is just easier to use FA over the longer term.
Certainly if MNM tanks what I have done wont look very bright
Time will tell
Thank you for you goodluck sentments i hope the new year is treating you and your shares well.

Wild old roller coaster to watch this one 29cps to 20cps.
Stop losses being triggered by traders tossed all over the place.
Fascinating stuff.
While holding for the last 2 weeks has been the way to go,drilly may well proved to be right into the future.
However while i am not inflexable in my approch it is pointless in researching only to be panicked by the fear of lose.
In my case as I have made a good profit and I am willing to risk a better profit for what I see as future increase in SP.
This approach would not suit everyone and I may well forgo ANY future profit from MNM in doing so.
Also do not confuse this as any sort of advice or method it is not.
Purely suits my belief in my own research which well may be derailed by any number of factors out of left field or otherwise

Well done soulman
I did nothing Hope you made HEAPS

Need the profits to compensate for other losses in AVB. A 35% percent return in one day is not too shabby.

Where it goes from now we don't know yet but the stock has ran hard.

By the judge of things stevo1, you are a long-term investor?

Good on ya soulman marvellous to see.
I only invest if I can see upside potential (researched based).
It is a lot easier for me to deal with the fear factor if I can regain my capitol plus a good profit then let the balance free ride.
That way I am not over trading.
Here in (OZ) we pay CGT.
So if I can find something that I can hold well into the future on good research I can negate that to a point.
Equally if my research has been faulty or just wrong (or due to Black swan type event or otherwise) then capitol is still intact plus some profit.(certainly not as much profit as selling all).'
However if I see potential market meltdown Im gone
Besides I am CRAP at TA. so I kinda rely on people here on sharetrader who are willing to share their TA on these threads.
And hopefully they can get some benefit from my input.
