Lincoln Minerals could be one to look at over the next few month after their announcement today. They have some interest in some good ground.

from egoli.

Lincoln mineral(LML) advised that it has received SA Government approval to commence a major aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling program on southern Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. The approval is to drill direct shipping hematite and hematite banded iron formation targets on the company’s 100% owned Gum Flat tenement near Port Lincoln. In addition to the Gum Flat iron ore project, Lincoln Minerals said it would also drill uranium and base metal targets on its Cockabidnie project on central Eyre Peninsula where there are surface samples containing up to 1% zinc and up to 750ppm (0.075%) uranium not previously tested by drilling. The program of aircore and RC drilling is planned to commence in early July subject to completion of Aboriginal heritage and other clearances.

Gum Flat:
The project is located east of Port Lincoln and is considered prospective for base metals, uranium and iron ore. The tenement is interpreted to include 35 km of banded iron formation which represents a significant target. Previous RC drilling returned 8m @ 660ppm Cu, 300ppm Pb and 0.29% Zn from 40m.

Koppio-Tumby Bay:
The project is located on southern Eyre Peninsula and is prospective for uranium, base metals and iron ore. Work by former owners identified several uranium and base metal anomalies.

Mount Hill:
The project is located on south central Eyre Peninsula west of Port Neill and is prospective for uranium and base metals. Soil sampling identified an anomaly up to 260 ppm uranium. A copper-zinc anomaly with 0.11% Cu and 0.56% Zn.

Cockabidnie:
The project is located with in the Central Eyre Peninsula and is prospective for uranium and base metals. Previous drilling returned 6.1m @ 0.51% Pb and 18.3m @ 0.21% Zn, 13m @ 12g/t Ag and 2m @ 0.17% Cu.

the SA explorer’s search for iron ore near Port Lincoln, on South Australia’s Eyre
Peninsula.

Under the Heads of Agreement signed between Lincoln and the Bangalore-based
Mineral Enterprises Limited, the diversified mining and energy group will contribute

Lincoln Minerals’ Managing Director, Dr John Parker, said: “This is an exciting
development for Lincoln Minerals and will enable the Company to maximise the iron
ore potential of the Gum Flat Project for its investors.”
“Mineral Enterprises is an iron ore mining and minerals company in India and would
be a potential buyer of output from a mine development that might flow from future
discoveries by our Company,” Dr Parker said.
“The Heads of Agreement, which the two parties are looking to finalise into a formal
agreement as soon as possible, is another vote of confidence by large international
metals groups in the prospectivity of South Australia,” he said.
