Amongst the recent gloom with more shares going down than up the old shopping icon in Wellington Kircaldies reaches an all time high

Pretty solid property holding has in the past been the value in KRKs but the retail side seems to getting valued into the stock price

I don't think property has been a big factor until recent years when they bought the old DIC building ( they are a tenant in their main store building). They seem to have got over the over-stocked position which knocked profits in the last year or so but as a small and rather infrequently traded company are not my type of investment.

Noticed there had been a bit of trading in this one recently and now see it was Brierley.

Old money shops there... but terribly bourgeois to buy the whole business. :p

Elevation Capital has been activist in this for a while publicly urging the board of KRK to explore a demerger of the property, or a sale of the property or a sale of the retail business.
