I have been using a simple spreadsheet for valuing mining companies. Just looking at spot value of in ground resource then discounting according to how long until production and taking out a reasonable per/lb production cost and adjusting for USD/AUD.
I think there must be a more sophisticated way of quantifying some of the variables and thus comparing companies more systematically.
If anyone could shed some light of share their experience on this I'd appreciate it...
