Thanks for the link Fish. Thats really interesting. Im going to have to do some analysis of one company to see if It holds any value for me. Couldnt find a blank template anywhere which would be nice to be able to enter own values for companies not listed into.

Does anyone already use a similar spreadsheet type setup for this. Ive never done any FA beyond basic overviews so would be interesting to crunch some numbers.

Hi folks,

I came recently across valuecruncher.com and was looking for some views on their methodology and the quality of the underlying values they calculate

From a guts feeling (looking at some of their NZX valuations) does the overall recommendation they come up with frequently makes sense, however not sure, whether I can say that as well about the "implied value" they publish?

Some random examples ... (my view in brackets)

ANZ - BUY (yes), but implied value $64.08?
IFT - BUY (hmm, probably o.k.), but implied value $18.31?
OGC - BUY (probably sensible), implied value $2.03 (could be right)
PGW - BUY (might be sensible), implied value 0.78 (not impossible)
RAK - BUY (who would want to do that?) and implied value $1.22 ???
TEM - SELL (not sure), but implied value £0.96 ???
WHS - BUY (yeah, they probably have some more life in them), but implied value $22.15 (sounds out of wack)?

Any information or views on this tool?

Anybody here who subscribed to value cruncher? If yes - what do you get (on top of the free service) for this subscription and is it worth it?

Any comments appreciated,
Thanks & regards,

BlackPeter

discl: hold all of above but RAK;
