Hi guys,

Have been lurking for a while. I am after any advice anyone can offer on how to get started in trading financial markets. I have searched the net, but there seem to be so many bogus sites out there promising the world for sitting on your backside, that it becomes hard to tell when there is actually a legitimate site oferring sound advice. Could someone point in the direction of some sound reading, could be from websites, books etc.

Also I see a few NZ sites offering seminars etc, are they worth attending? Or are they just trying to push products that are a load of bollocks? I am currently a horse punter, so am always wary of anything promising easy money, and always enjoy the rewards of hard work paying dividends.

As above, any pointers in teh right direction would be a great help.

Cheers

There are quite a few virtual trading platforms offered using real data so you can hone a strategy. For NZ try paper trading on Virtual NZX at least 6 months before you commit any money.
