omnitrader

or

MetaStock

both of these seem to be professional software,
I currently use the real edge
so far it's enough for me.

But I'm considering of switching.
both of the above software were quite expensive
about 100us a month
I was wondering if the price was worthy for them..

thanks in advance

I use both MetaStock and OmniTrader, SSG.

I could recommend suitable software for you if you tell me exactly what you want to do and what markets you are interested in. There is no point at all in paying for functionality that you will never use.

In terms of "bangs for your buck" the stand-out bargain is IncredibleCharts at only US$12/month - and no software to buy. You will pay more than that just for the datafeed for other software. It has reasonable charts and a basic stock screener which is adequate enough for the Aus market. So long as you don't want to do anything overly ambitious such as creating your own indicators etc, it will satisfy the basic needs of the majority of users.

How long have you been running Real Edge? Are you using all of its functionality? Is there anything that you would like it to do that it can't?

thanks for the reply Phaedrus,

I actually haven't been use real edge for really long, about 2-3 weeks?
before I was just looking at the charts provided by my broker- ASB securities

I guess I should stick with your idea of trying to familiar with all of the functions of RE first. since the only reason of charting is to apply all aspect of TA.
Besides, I just started learning the TA stuff.

thanks heaps!!
