Hello Friends

A great week on the LincolnFX blog - almost totally green apart from one small loss on the British Pound, and a great month with a total of +1698 pips. (I haven't added in the 2 overnight Friday trades totalling 384 pips to my blog display total as both my orders got triggered Friday night while I was in the land of nod), so the months total pips in the display is +1314 and the last 3 months average +1212 pips.
Last Mondays 'Weekly Trade' set-ups came good with 3 profits, Aussie was the best trade of the week with around +250 pips over 2 trades. The British pound short trade turned a day later than I expected giving the only minor loss of the week (50 pips), but I am already back in this trade now and currently showing +109 (this profit is also not added in the monthly pips total). I hope to be able to add some more trades to the pound at a favourable rate and I will be explaining this ASAP.

Yeah well I am expecting a further weakness in the Euro this week as the Eurozone economy is not showing much in the way of improvement compared to the other major currency zones. Will be watching Arco for good entry and exit zones. But will be having a light week on the Forex markets this week as there is a lot of uncertainty about the recovery and a lot will depend on which currency is seen as a safe haven.

Hello Friends

I ended up +246 green after a roller coaster ride on my weekly system with which I have been trading the Gbp.Jpy/British Pound. Several stop losses got hit with the wild gyrations of the early week leading to initial losses. The markets movements have clearly changed and due to this I have now taken some additional measures that should minimize the risk with these trades. These will be implemented from next Monday, and this will mean the ‘Weekly Signals’ with entries and targets will appear on the blog later than normal because I will be waiting for additional confirmation.

Best trade set-ups of the week were GBP.JPY 150 pips, EUR.JPY scalp (max 150 pips) and USD.CAD scalp (Max 118 pips)

I also looked at potential trades in Gold, Silver, Eur.Gbp, and Usd.Jpy, none of which have set up properly as yet. I will look at these again and any others over the next few days.
New charts have been placed on my forex blog (http://www.lincolnfx.com/)

Hello Friends

The week ended up in profit overall and we had a few nice trades, but didn't manage a totally green week.
A few of the more experienced traders jumped on a couple of potential trades that I mentioned early in the week and made some very fast and worthwhile pips so congratulations to them on that success.

Monarch ‘set and forget’ trading - testing

I have dusted off the Monarch system which seems to perform well in choppy markets. Still trialing this on GBP.JPY although a few have taken the Monarch by the horns and bagged some pips.

Thursdays signals gave Long +50 on set and forget,
Continuous movement Long +124 (member monitored).
Short +12 (member monitored) (-50 set and forget)
Set and forget – zero profit/loss. Member monitored Maximum +136
----------------------------------------------------------
Fridays signals Long (Weak) gave +40 (Member monitored). S&F -50
Short (Weak/Medium) gave +22 so far. Trade incomplete.
None of the Monarch profits/losses have been used in the monthly figure
Next week I will also introduce a 40/80 Euro system into the 'weekly signals' group.
Euro trade

I got 50 pips as the price retraced back to the potential shorting/reversal zone around the 1.4900 level as mentioned yesterday Now the price is hard against the resistant Kumo above, although there may be some potential for a test of the mini H&S neck-line. Pattern-wise a 2nd Tower Top has appeared on the Daily Chart, and there appears to be a clear 3 waves down and a 3 waves rise so this could indicate 1 more wave down in 5 waves. I dipped a tentative toe in the water at 4900 and 4920. At one point both positions were in profit +30 and +10. Experienced traders may consider scaling a few in as the risk/reward is very low at this point. Inexperienced traders may like to hold off for confirmation.

http://i36.tinypic.com/w2ei6g.gif
USD.JPY
This trade was the disappointment of the week, with a loss of 65 pips. I only took a couple of small starter positions which were at one point up around 35 pips and looked to be headed for the moon. But something spooked the pack and price retreated. I saw 30+ and should have taken a portion off. That in hindsight was definitely a missed opportunity. I did end up with one trade still on which had a lower stop, and that’s still live. Lets see what happens on Monday.

Aud.Jpy
Some traders made a move at the original suggested entry …. Quote - “once I see a reversal pattern in the grey zone around about the 83.70 mark, (stop 84.20).
I left a sell stop in anticipation which got triggered and I did take a few off at +50. Small position still running and just one pip the green. Monday will give more clues to future movements.

More charts are available on the 'weekly round' page of the blog

Hey Arco,

I'm interested in the set it and forget it trades, as time is a bit limited for me right now, how many trades a week are you averaging with your monarch system?

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig

Set and forget

Monarch could be up to 1 trade per day (1 direction, or occasionally short and long - not OCO). Still testing for optimum parameters. May work well with trailing stop, or set TP

System Euro 40/80 and System Loonie Monday (Usd.Cad) - Usually one trade in each direction per week on a Monday, occasionally an additional trade depending on signals.

rgds - arco

Monarch looked good over a ten day period back test. Proof of the pudding is in live testing. Testing again this week.

Arco, am debating whether to give your system a trial run but I am in Europe and was wondering if the time difference is going to disadvantage me. I take it you are working and aiming trades during NZ/AUS non sleeping hours?

Hi Blackcap

I dont think it will a problem for you. I have members now from all over the world, and I'm trying to cater for their various requirements. I've had to change how I do things to make it better for members needs. Fortunately I've got admin, oother wise I;d be working 24 hrs a day :)

I work the early Europe session, so you should be able to get trades from that, plus long term trades, and because of so many requests I've dug up some of my old mechanical models for punters who only want to place an order and walk away. I call these set and forget, and I'm adding more as I sort them out and check the RR is still OK.

Last week was an amazing week.

Usd.Cad was taking long for currently around +200 pips and still holding this. Nzd.Usd (Kiwi) shorts with maximum gains of +280 pips. Aud.Jpy initial trades came good for around +240 pips, although unfortunately some later entries were stopped out.

Managed to add 440 pips to the monthly total this week
Aud.Jpy 240 pips, Usd.Cad Long 130 pips (so far) there is an extra 66 not counted as trade still open. Loonie Monday 3 trades 150 pips. Euro (40/80) 2 losses minus 80 pips.
Total 440 pips making 896 for the month

Importantly. There were also 442 Pips which were NOT added to the monthly total

Nzd.Usd +200 pips because although I mentioned entering short in the yellow box I didn't give an exact entry level on the blog. Monarch 50 pips and run on trade extra 140 pips because this was on a test trade. Usd.Cad scalp 20 pips because it was not mentioned before trade. The missed Euro 40/80 trade 40 pips because of missed signal which happened in NZ after midnight. Loonie Monday run on trade +Max 132 pips because would have to be member monitored.

New ‘set and forget’ systems had a good week.

Loonie Monday gave 3 orders for a profit of +150 pips (and up to an additional +133 pips for member monitored positions). Here's the first 2 trades - there was one more later in the week for another +50 pips

http://i45.tinypic.com/5o5xg7.gif

Monarch would normally give 3-5 trades per week, but unusually gave only one trade this week and +50 pips on automatic (or up around +280 pips for member monitored run on). These pips were not added to the monthly display total because we were still on test mode.

http://i46.tinypic.com/np2q1g.gif

Euro 40/80 suffered from a Bernake Spike and initially lost 80 pips. We unfortunately missed the later trade which would have added back +40 pips on automatic or 40 pips or up to 112 pips on monitored

Looking forward to another successful week of trading on the forex markets

Hello Friends

Last week was again an amazing week and totally GREEN for many blog members, although a few did get taken in early on Monarch with a small loss due to variations in broker prices.

Gbp.Usd was taken short for up to 303 pips, and some members hung on for more(maximum around +350 with a trailing stop or +400 if they were lucky enough to get the exact bottom of the spike). Loonie Monday and Euro 40/80 gave us a total of 90 pips on ‘set and forget’. Aud.Usd gave us 40 pips on a scalp and 160+ pips for those hanging on to the short to trend-line as indicated in the post. A few members decided to get into Nzd.Cad shorts early on the ‘looking ahead’ signal with maximum gains of circa 200 pips. The previous weeks Aud.Jpy continued down after a retrace and a few members reported hanging in for another 100+ pips.

We added +466 pips to the monthly display this week making +1362 pips this month.

Here’s what was added
Gbp.Usd. Short 303 pips. Loonie Monday 1 profitable trade +40 pips. Euro (40/80) 1profitable trade +40 pips. Aud.Usd scalp +40 pips. Previous weeks Usd.Cad closed on traling stop Monday +33 pips. That makes a total 466 pips and 1362 pips for the month.
Monarch trade – as some members gained 50 pips and some lost 50 pips I did not add or subtract anything from the weeks total.

Importantly. Here’s +460 and potentially another +666 available pips which we DID NOT add to the monthly total

More information on that freely available on the blog.

Lets look forward to another successful week of trading on the forex markets

Good weekend all

Hello Friends

Quite a slow early part of the week on the FX markets, and although we had some really good looking trades setting up with potential in the near future for around 2000 pips many of these are still in the process of coming together and we are still a day or three away from receiving a safe entry signal. So for those who are still deliberating about joining us on the blog, don’t miss out on these upcoming moves and high potential pip numbers.

Our December Total crept up nicely in the end to +293 pips. Added pips were Nzd.Cad +5, Usd.Jpy +70 on first scalp, and +60 pips on re-entry after neck line test, Gbp.Usd scalp +32 pips (maximum available was +68). Usd.Chf scalp +20 (Maximum available was +40). Usd,Jpy short +26. Aud.Usd short so far +120. Subtracted Euro 40/80 minus 40 pips

We added and subtracted some pips from the November total.
Subtracted Loonie Monday minus 2 x 50 pips, and Euro 40/80 minus 40 pips. = minus 140 pips. We added on a Usd.Jpy scalp +35 pips so grand total for November +1297 pips. (from last weeks 1362).

Pips I didn’t count in the total circa +350. Euro suggested short on post #14 (+160 pips from posting (max 260 pips)) because we didn’t enter ourselves. Usd.Cad +68 pips (suggested possibly re-entry and gave short target) because we didn’t enter a position ourselves. Aud.Usd. suggested entry higher than our entry +30. Multiple re-entries on Usd.Jpy scalps not counted.
A word or two about Set and Forgets.

Have a great weekend - Arco

This weeks maximum available +2247 pips.Plus additionally up to $2500 potential per one full gold contract, and $7800potential on long term DAX

Based on members requests we have this week amended and improved the way we issue alerts on the blog. More short term directional ideas have been given as it seems that is what the majority are looking for. Longer term bias is also mentioned when possible.

This week has been an amazing week for pips, with the maximum available circa +2497, but lets also consider 2 potential losses. EurJpy - we were a little early on this idea, although the action is now around +100 pips higher based on the original purple trace start point. AudNzd - we mentioned the possibility of a left hand shoulder forming and that has not occurred. So I am removing 250 pips off the maximum count to cover any entries members might have made into these 2 where stop losses could have been hit. So we end up with a potential of +2247 pips from this weeks alerts. (These pips are reported daily in the summary which is available to non-members and are based on the previous days alerts).

This week has been another amazing week for pips, with the maximum available +1485. We are not counting any additional pips that may have been gained in falls associated with Thursday’s melt down which could have netted another 1300 pips on Aussie alone. The majority of our alerts were facing the right direction for the meltdown.

These pips are publicly reported individually in each day’s summary and are based on the previous day’s alerts.

Additionally there was between $1700-3400 on the YM trade earlier in the week (nothing extra included for the meltdown later in the week), and nothing extra included for the DAX continuation. Please remember we are not counting any additional pips that may have been gained in falls associated with Thursday’s melt down which could have netted another 1300 pips on Aussie alone.

Long term traders came up trumps with up to +1450 pips on Aussie from the alert of 23 March

For the past week it was mostly short term alerts/ideas on EurUsd, EurJpy, GbpJpy, AudUsd, AudJpy, DJIA and some continuations moves on UsdCad and Oil, all showing excellent pips for scalpers/day traders. The maximum available on this weeks basic moves was +1801 pips. Please note these pips are only based on continuation figures from previous days highs, not additional daily scalp ranges mentioned. All pips are reported individually in each day's summary and are based on the previous day's/previous thoughts for each pair. If we look at the scalp/day-trade potential additionally the figure would work out higher at +2261 pips. Also I did not count 806 pips where the daily posting may have been a general comment (e.g. AudUsd, AudJpy, EurJpy). http://www.lincolnfx.com/

This weeks DJIA posted 23/6 - maximum 286 points short (and 140 points long)

The maximum available on this weeks basic moves was +1778pips. This number is only based on continuation figures from previous days highs, not additional daily scalp ranges mentioned. All pips are reported individually in each day’s summary. Also I deducted 60 pips on the potential Euro scalp and I did not count an additional 1389 pips where the daily posting may have been a general comment.

Two of this weeks comments

Arco - EurCad moved up over 150 pips after I posted the comment – must be the Lincoln effect.
Member: I got most of it thank you – B.
(Note – final move was +242 pips)

…………………Your alerts last night were sensational thanks, again waking up this morning to a couple of sizeable gains. MS
