I have made some comment on the NZX sub-forum, on this little bundle of dynamite, but realise it now more properly belongs in the ASX Section as it is no longer dual-listed.

Are there any current followers out there? It has only recently come to my attention and I think I am being seduced - help!

Hi Colin, Im not a follower mate but I always enjoy hearing a story about a company or two.

Lets have a little lookie here hey and maybe a bit of a break down of this company~!

Firstly the chart it looking a bit toppy along with the indicators, as it seems to have run pretty hard over the past week so a pull back certainly would be on the cards. IMO

Now some of the FA nuts and bolts from webIress info:

Drillfix: Thanks for gathering all that info. I will have to find some time to digest. Meantime I don't think I will be taking that "leap of faith". I agree that a price pullback looks very likely.

But, congratulations to any who have ridden in the rocket, over the past few months - up to a 200% gain, depending on where they entered.

Hi Colin,

Not a follower as such... but am now.

I've been holding ARM since 2007 (or was it 2006?). Bought small amount as a punt.
Didn't take much notice for ages until it popped up on my screen as having rocketed in price - - until then I had no particular clue what they were doing or up to.
It's got my attention now.

If anybody who is into Japanese Candlesticks and charting.

It amazes me how on Tuesday we had a huge black piercing candle giving Dark Cloud Cover but still yet, the sp still climbs although now appears to be weakening.

In short, it goes to show that TA doesn't always work with certain stocks and at certain times.

Hi Drill, Tueday's black cloud is normally very bearish, perhaps it will take a day or two to slow the rocketship. I am keeping an eye on this one to enter on a pull back.

No, none of that chart stuff here - it's voodoo. Picked ARM by pure dumb luck.

Uh - also it was whispered about years ago. But I rationalise my taking note of rumour by this: - if you've ever stood on some bits of that dunstanite stuff near Nelson you can tell that it's mineralised just by the fact that you are taller than the plants growing on it. It could be that the whisperer was standing on a similar ancient formation saying to himself 'Gee, I don't even need to assay this..'

Less action later this week for Aurora and no press releases for 2010 as such, but in mid December 2009 the head office was asked to explain their meteoric rise in SP.

http://www.auroraminerals.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=1%2FJp4sdP8TI%3D&tabid=2063&mid=3911

I couldn't easily get hold of the Sunday Times (Perth) article from 13 December, but BHP and Woolworths are also mentioned.

I see theres an independent report on the ASX suggesting the manganese discovery has the potential to be a world class deposit - announcement 25/01/2010.

Also the possible discovery of high grade magnetite iron ore 21/01/2010.

A question asking what you (out there) think the future direction will be.

Will ARM prove the Mn deposit and then spin it off/sell?

or

Will they issue for bonds/scrip and develop themselves?

or

Bring in a mining partner, selling down somewhat but buying setup and ops experience.

I ask this because it is likely that they may sell off the Mn (re- Dawn Metals) and continue forever as a pure explorer - nothing would ever actually come to fruition?

Dont worry about it elzorro, no point in kicking yourself, just buy them back.

They are in a great uptrend so why worry about which rest you have had from holding.

Any profits a profit, if it were me and I held them before, I wouldn't hesitate buying them back if I believed in what they did.

I think why for many though will be who knows whats gonna happen tomorrow with the DOW and thus, the ASX, which as you know where I am getting to, >>>> and with ARM.

Bucking the trend of the ASX today, but tomorrow could be another story as too could it be with many stocks and not just ARM.

Who cares if its at a new high, let the river flow in the direction it is flowing which is UP.

Ride it, dont fight and let no emotion get in the way of what was previous or what you could have had it at.

Quick chart for all you ARM wrestlers (pardon the pun) :D

well it has the addition attraction of the iron ore discovery now too and with steel prices on the rise makes it attractive - although still very much speculative. $1.09 today.

Yab, to be perfectly honest mate, I couldn't care less if this company farted and said it was perfume to be sold at Myers. :o

What interests me is purely the chart and only the chart. If the trade turns against me, Im out, but until that time, I am in. ;)

Hi Ez and Yab,

Back up to the high again today, great. I was saying to ssg in the Intraday thread that those who collected in the mid 90's etc etc would be doing good.

The chart looks great on this stock, I keen to see if there will it finishes as I will enter again on this stock and perhaps hold a little longer than my previous nerves has shown. But of course, that was due to overall markets and Im kinda glad I did.

Hi again ez,

Still not sure if your serious about re mortgaged the house or not, I sure hope not based on something that I have said or done myself.

Currently with this particular stock, as much as I think the chat is excellent, I myself currently swing trade some stocks, this being one of them.

The other day, I thought to get in, and then to get out and it did fall, but then so did everything else.

Man I get worried EZ when you say things like mortgage the house.

I tell you what though, if I see and think the chart is sh#t, I will post back here and tell you so, but the if that is the case, it means the markets are sh#t too so everything will be (almost).

Lets not hope it dont come to that though and dont be scared or forget to take a profit. But then that depends on your own trading plan, be it short, long, or purely for tax reasons.

Cheers~! :)

Hi DF, just holding 1200 of these, but kicking myself because I did buy about 5000 and sold them in a mild panic at a loss, earlier. These are all lessons I'm learning (a bit too slowly) but I'm not crazy enough to extend myself beyond what I can afford :). In any case, you can at least always sell these shares at any stage, and it is the 'lucky country' after all :D

Good to hear mate, but on that note I am crazy enough to extend myself however the old me made some pretty painful mistakes and the lesson we take from that is that counts.

Crazy at times yes, but alot more wiser from the previous experience, thats for sure. ;)

ARM just off a Trading Halt. 3.9m half yearly loss - $2.5 of which was exploration costs.

Received $1.6m form a share placement @ 90 cents from a Europen Resource Fund taking cash to about $6m.

Any opinions out there on thier lastest 'sell off' to semi subsidairies? I get the feeling that they are not really all that interested in thier shareholder wealth creation - - or shareholder participation in future development. This yet another dilution of net assets per share.

ARM is now negative EV I believe. They have around $15m in the bank and a MC of $13m. SP is 13c. Have not held for a long time but still keep an eye on it, was meant to have so much promise back when it was $1+!
