Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone and I hope 2010 proves a happy and successful one for you all.

I must admit to really looking forward to some of the half yearly results that will be due out next month. Sick eh?

Some smaller capped stocks aligned to the Mining Industry that got slam dunked last year will be really interesting.

I have my eye on :-

RGD, IMD, BOL, TOX in particular.

Maybe some others may want to throw down some stocks they are eyeing for a rerate.

Cheers everyone.

Over the last couple of days there seems to have been a large number of significant profit upgrades announced - from the large caps (CBA, CPU, FLT) to lots of small/micro caps (CAA, FFI, CAJ).

Also, RIO's 4th quarter results significantly outperformed expectations for iron ore, copper, and coal.

Downgrades that i've noticed include STS and NOD.

Overall, upgrades would appear to be out-numbering downgrades - which suggests that the reporting season should be generally positive.

I'm keen to see EWC, DWS, OKN, ITC, CFE, CUE and NBS (for a laugh).
