Cheers Strat, appears the Yuan tied directly to the USD when you consider those charts.

So yeah, its fallen around 10% vs the Yen since June. Something to investigate further given wikipedia's statement posted by Jaa....

Pretty much though there appears to be some kind of fixed adjustment made in early September. The USD/CHD chart on the other thread would give a more detailed view. It looks less like a one off change on that chart.
