Is anybody on ST following FAR

FAR has the largest acreage holding of any ASX listed company in West Africa, namely Senagal and Guinea Bissau. They have the heavy weights Ophir, Tullow, Svenska all around them.

I took a small position earlier this year after hearing Michael Evans MD do a presentation and have increased my position over the last month.

Fundamentally, to me this company has it all. In Senagal alone multiple prospects ranging from 200million to greater than 1Billion bbl potential.

STRAT/TRACKERS you TA guys may want to run your charting eyes over it as well ;)

Hi G
I held this one for a while in 08. From memory Senagal was going to be the company maker back then too. Havent followed it for a while.

There is another thread or two which may be of interest to you

This one can go up and down pretty quick.

They know how to excite the market
They know how to disappoint too

Looks interesting Oiler. Fair bit of shuffling the deck after a good gap up. Some decent resistance at 7.4c, if it blows through that on good volume you'll be off?

My TA skills are pretty shoddy but my backtesting gear says (since 2006) Slow Stochastic falling through 80 is a good time for an exit, but in this market who knows..2994

FAR is gambling,
but a real decent gamble...
certainly a great BESBS play forming for early 2011...
Returns on the stock between now and spud mean absolutely nothing if you are holding through Kora well 2011....

Hardman in West Africa went up 1000% from securing blocks to spud...
Going on that and common themes in cycles around spudding, there is a good trade in this...

If only FAR had something to fall back on... Remember in 2009 FAR sold 5% of Beibu gulf 60-65 million barrels of oil for 8 million US, of which $6 million is drip fed...
Even though the project has been dogged, it was some sort of fundamentals to fall back on...
Now its exploration.... But World class exploration...

This stock will run...
15-20cents for a trade me reckons...

Good to see you still lurking there SC :D:D always appreciate your comments.

I agree, a lot of upside with "world class exploration" as you say.

I'm going to Sydney on Thursday to an investors/brokers presentation from Michael Evans FAR and a few others. Will be trying to get all I can from him.
