NZX Short Sales Report

Just thought it might be interesting to follow the Short Sales Reports that are produced monthly by the NZX these days... last month's here (http://file.nzx.com/000/928/4436928.pdf).

November report out today suggests highish level of shorts in NPX and LME. In October, AIR also featured prominently. However, the overall level of shorts has declined significantly compared to September (http://file.nzx.com/000/796/4202796.pdf) when AIR, TWR, NPX, NZO and SKC were some of the more heavily shorted.

The low level of shorts stands in stark contrast to activity on the ASX where it is not unusual to see daily shorts on some stocks of the order of 20, 30, 40% or more of turnover. Just another factor in the relative size/strength of the two markets, of course.
