Came across this resource minnow whilst compiling a list of promising sub $20m companies

Shares on issue = ~53m, Market Cap @ $0.12 = ~$6.4m

Cash on hand - 30/9/10 = ~$2.0m

Listed Investments = ASX:WDR = ~$0.6m

Leaving an EV of just $3.8m!

GES has exploration projects covering Mn, Fe, Au, Ag, Cu, U308, but the multibagger potential lies in there Plavica project in Macedonia.

Plavica Project Details:

http://stocknessmonster.com/news-item?S=GES&E=ASX&N=516943

GES can earn a 62% stake in the Plavica Project by funding all exploration up to FFS

JORC resource estimate covers 1.65m/oz Au, 28.2m/oz Ag & 32.6m/lb Cu

In ground value @ today's prices (ex Kitco) @ Au $US1365/oz, Ag $US28.55/oz, Cu $US4.38/lb

Gold = $US2.2b + Silver $US0.8b + Copper $US0.14b = >$US3b (Approx $US2b worth to GES @ 62%)

This is an interesting one Shasta. Has been pretty much been sold off from day one. Very illiquid with many days having no trades at all.

The three things I would be interested to know are
(a) In the management any good?
(b) Can they keep a secret? ( hope not )
(c) Anything on the Calender that may spark an interest from the Market? If so a close eye on volume and depth may give a hint of something to come.

Cant say i can vouch for management either way, but for me getting the FFS on Plavica is the sole measurement that they can get the job done.

Are you able to highlight the next resistence/support levels?

Thanks

Shasta thanks very much for finding this one.. Within a couple hours of you mentioning it I contacted ASB to ask them to load it on their db so I could buy some... And have got some today (thought I'd be waiting forever!).

Plavica looks like a really good project. I like that RIO have done drilling there in the past.

The JORC resource at Plavica of 1.65m/oz Au, 28.2m/oz Ag & 32.6m/lb Cu suggests to me that their current market cap of 4mil is crazy, and thats without their numerous other projects (some of which initially look quite prospective though clearly need a lot of delineation).

I'd say there's some fairly unhappy holders around who would look to exit on sp appreciation (small wall at 18c) but we'll see what happens.... This one definitely needs some liquidity

Thats awesome Shasta really appreciate the effort.

Ozzie stock market scanner (http://www.ascii-data.com/ ) lists stocks by market cap but I find the info out of date or wrong quite often.. Plus its not sorted by GICS sector. I won't ask you your source :P

ThanksHi Shasta.
I could but Im not sure it would mean too much with so many zero trade days.

GES - December Quarterly

http://stocknessmonster.com/news-item?S=GES&E=ASX&N=527045

Plavica drilling this quarter, if GES management can get this up & running, the SP should be well north of $1, (with an undemanding M Cap of just ~$50m)

But with the project in Macedonia, probably sovereign risk issues?

Boring quarterly, ticking the boxes with the metallurgical studies though. Can't wait for drilling at Plavica to begin, any extensions at all to that resource (which they would suggest is likely) could well see the $1 you mention.

I suppose we are best to buy when there is not much activity, and learn to be patient until the fun starts.Yeah right!! I have a few SPQ,but none of WCN.That must mean WCN will be the winner.!!!

Next company thats spinning my wheels is MOX....

I'll get to starting a new thread soon, they have plenty of cash, 36m shares in MEU (the Uranium company they spun out) & have 3 projects in South Australia on the same trend as Olympic Dam & Prominent Hill.

If that wasnt enough there JV partner is one of the 10 largest copper companies in the world, & theres a $US10m bonus for MOX if there is a decision to mine.

EV is under $2m as well ;)

GES - Environmental Authority granted Mount Millar Manganese Project

http://stocknessmonster.com/news-item?S=GES&E=ASX&N=541696

GES has had a good week with its share price, but its the Plavica project thats the real driver behind GES

EV = ~$6m, & IGV on Plavica (GES 62%) is > $2b, but the project needs to go thru DFS/BFS yet, though it is a JORC resource
