Never heard for them Strat, are they from NZ or Aus?

Weekend that just gone we had the Broadbeach Blues festival over here, any of you folks know much about that?

Got quite a few mates that play there, but my guitar and band days are slowing down with so much focus on studying and trading.

I reckon I would rather be an ole rich blues dude than a poor one (if I can help it) LOL :P

Strat if Drilly is the comedian, then u must be the joker, anyway I will be there, to watch Auckland get another case of the blues.
Maybe for a bit of interest, we could do a 5 minute max presentation of one company each, to why we think it is going to be the best gainer, by the 1st of Jan, any thoughts on this folks ????

I reckon thats a great idea tricha if people want to - People here have expert knowledge on some shares and might be keen to share that knowledge face to face (thats normally what happens anyway!). I'd feel comfortable-ish talking about PXG or YTC

Great to catchup guys, sorry to hear about the on going relentless crap u have going on.!

Hey Oiler I have had a good look at ADE and put a wager on them today, yes they do have outstanding leverage to Shale Gas.
We will know in two weeks which way this horse or donkey runs.
See their last presentaion in March for potential upside.

Heres the potential upside form another perspexive.

Hey Tracker I should have put it on PXG, it looked like it had run it's couse, but the new drill hits are outstanding.:t_up:

Just a word of warning, there is talk of a Chch meeting being held on Gold Coast mid year 2012.Some dispute about Thai resturants. If we get Srewd Crude on a big run at RENO,Bermuda and Oiler hit oil, all hell could break out.Enough trouble in ChCh,so about time we caused a bit in your neck of the woods. Also a lot of talk that shasta wants to collect on all the Thai meals owed.

Cheers Percy,

A Gold Coast meet? Sounds good, then no doubt Huang Chung can come down from Brisbane too and I just live around the corner from the Casino and the best Thai Food restaurant on the GC if not Qld (imo).

Will check out that other thread too after markets :)

Thanks for turning on the warm weather welcome to the Gold Coast ;) Haven't found the right Thai restaurant yet as they are feeding us real good at the Resources Conference. Cant look at another sausage roll.

Percy that is a great idea to come over here and have an ST meeting. Could plan it around this annual free resource conference. :t_up:

Oiler,
Thought about the conference after I posted.I see some of the copmany's I follow are presenting at the conference,so your idea of having a ST meeting at this time is great. If you could give us the dates,it would make planning easy.A friend is staying at www.pacificregis.com.au in a few weeks time and going to tell me what it is like.Manager's special at $695 a week looks pretty good.I am sure Drillfix will let you know where his favourite Thai is.

You bet ya I will you know, In fact, I will let you all know where and which one it is right here:

http://www.gcfoodguide.com.au/index.cfm/page/restaurant_detail/id/52

I just live around the corner(s) from the place as well as I used to live next to Hedges Ave on the other side of the highway next to the beach but after that hideous Uran experience I then got relegated to the other side of the highway :P

Oiler, How did the conference go for you?
That convention has come and gone pretty quick, I never knew it was on until I read about you folks talking about it and then about another company was also doing a presentation there also. Would be a top event for many to visit here for as well as to get out and about.

Percy,
There are lots of places at incredible prices atm, as tourism here on the Gold Coast has taken quite a bit of a hit in comparison to previous years so plenty of specials upon other things to be to be had.

Would be good to see a few of the NZ gang over here and next year and perhaps either me or Huang Chung can organise something. I dont drink or do illegal drugs but I take a sh$t heap of legal ones to make up for it...lol, that I can assure you.

I have just had notification that next years conference will be June 14 & 15th on the Gold Coast. This year was sold out (free) so we will need to get in early or hope the organizers move to a bigger convention center.

For all the long term planners put the dates in your diary and lets plan to have a big NZ contingent attend the conference.
Percy we will have another Christchurch meeting in a few months so we can spread the word then.

Hotel prices seem to be very reasonable at this time of the year, as you say Drilly. Lots of great Asian food places on the GC and very reasonable.

Looking forward to next years meeting.

Good stuff oiler.

If it were previously that busy, maybe then they will look at moving the event to the new GC convention centre just across the road from the casino?

Would be good to see a good ST turnout over here and I am sure many here would have a great time over here for those that can make it.

Perhaps who ever started this thread can change the title of the meeting to ST - GC Resource conference June 2012 which will give folks plenty of time to think about it and be encouraged to come over :).

I will create a new thread in due course to highlight these conferences so as to give people time to plan.
I think there is another conference coming up in Brisbane in a couple of months. The Queensland conferences in "our winter" probably would appeal to quite a few kiwis wanting to dodge the cold weather for a time.
Watch this space.
