Hi im planning to trial Etrade and am really looking forward to a "live" platform for the first time. My westpac bank does not offer an $A demoninated acc for this so id be switching in and out of$NZ and $A and always back to $NZ. Appreciate any suggestions as to which banks offer this $A account here in NZ and what your experiences have been using either system ,thanks in advance

Me too janner. Blackmores a great long term quality performer for you ,what did you pay for them and is there still plenty of growth left (looks like it by the 10 year chart) or is it a mature stock now? cheers and keep the bank info coming folks:)

What about a Macquarrie Bank Cash Management account? Better if you don't have to convert all the time. Ask eTrade to advise on one perhaps.

I'm sure E-Trade Australia automatically open an ANZ account as part of the application process (they are also owned by ANZ).

direct broking have their online multi currency accounts

http://www.directbroking.co.nz/directtrade/static/OMCAINtro.aspx

you can switch money between whenever you want, just have to check their rates, but you also earn interest at the cash rate, so for AUD 4.25%.
