Sharemarket Investment Strategy Resources

I'm new to "the investment game" and would like references to some reliable books and resources to learn about investment strategies.

I would really like your tips as to good sources of investment principles and strategies.

In particular I see people posting their analysis and calculations about their hot picks - what texts can teach me how to do this type of analysis?

Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom - Van Tharp
This is my favorite book that I have read. It is better to read this once you understand a bit more about investing.

Just started reading "The long term investor: Australian shares long-term return" by M. A. Wylie fro 2007. Very readable, contemporary, easy to follow, Australian context. Borrowed from Central Library in Wellington.
