Eye watering stuff Agrarinvestor! Had a quick read out of interest - SP $18 Dec 09 - $2.70 Dec 2011 (Eeek...what was that all about?), $2.57- $5.09 range past 12 months. Did I read somewhere that the insto's only have 5% of this? Who would sell at current prices if all is so well? Lazily falls in the "too good to be true" basket for me but will read next annual report with interest. Good luck and well spotted :)

Only select companies supposedly? Been thinking of a change of platform but have yet to make the leap. Given I am more a long term value investor, monthly fees to do nothing dont seem like a good deal to me.

I am still searching for fertilizer experts who help to bring some light on CGA.
The margines for all players in the fertilizer market are und pressure. That is no secret.
My speculation is that CGA will do a little bit better than the average.
With the regained confidence in CGA, we can hope for the big guys after earnings release on November 11th.
I place my bets tomorow.
CGA has attended Forbes best of 200 ceronomy last week. They were selected for the 4 times in a row.
No one has archived that.

Yesterday CGA released it's first Quarter results for 2014. The market valued CGA's shareprice 7% lower!
Why ?
IMO, it was the anouncement of 25 Millions in deferred Assets. Today the 10Q wasw sin and we caqn read the Explanation:

Deferred assetDeferred asset represents amounts that the Company advanced to the distributors in their marketing efforts and developing standard stores to expand the Company’s products’ competitiveness and market shares. The amount owed to the Company to assist its distributors will be expensed over three years as long as the distributors are actively selling the Company’s products. If a distributor breaches, defaults, or terminates the agreement with the Company within the three year period, the outstanding unamortized portion of the amount owed is payable to the Company immediately. The Company’s Chairman, Mr. Li, guaranteed to the Company of amounts remaining unpaid due from distributors.

Revenue and Earnings were great if you put in mind the decreased Prices in the fertilizer markets:

Currently their is an offer for CGA's competitor "Yongye". This going private attempt is led by Morgan Stanley. The offer values the shares of the private investors with a P/E of 2. It seems that
this crime will be rejected. And i am hoping for a move to HSE, where chinese firms have a better valuation. If Yongye will do so, CGA will follow. If the going private is succesfull, CGA will follow,
thats my fear.

We have a high oppurtunity that CGA will be a five-bagger within a few years. I know that Kiwi Investors have a lot of knowledge regarding Agriculture. Hopefully a few of you will join this adventure,
and help me to understand the company.

The last month were not the month of shareholders in CGA. I hope this will change on Monday. CGA will release it's Q3 datas. Starting with Q1 CGA booked "deferred assets" and reduced it cash position. They had problems to win enough distributors for their enormus growth targets. They are using this money for building a franchise system and pampering new distributurs with company cars if they reach their targets. In Q2 they booked additional deferred assets for expanding the strategy. I expect first results from this growth initiative in Q3.
Q3 and Q4 are always the strongest quarters.

XI'AN, China, May 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Green Agriculture, Inc. [CGA (http://www.stockpoint.com/quote.asp?Symbol=CGA)], a company that mainly produces and distributes humic acid-based compound fertilizers, other varieties of compound fertilizers and agricultural products through its wholly-owned subsidiaries in China, today announced that the Company entered a cooperation agreement (the "Agreement") with Nestle (China) Co., Ltd. ("Nestle China"), to jointly develop a direct sales program (the "Direct Program"), as a mutual effort to supply the Company's fertilizer products to coffee bean farmers in China.
Pursuant to the Agreement, the Company will provide fertilizer products to certified coffee bean farmers in Yunnan province, who sell beans to Nestle (China). Yes, it could be a good entry point now. I am hoping that on July 24th the settlemant of the 3 Year old class action will be accepted by the court and that CGA will shake hands with us shareholders. Unfurtunately some institutional shareholders have sold out in the meantime. There was a lot of confusion with a booking of 65million US$ as deferred assets in Q1 and Q2. Management told us they will use this money for marketing campaigns, for supporting their distributors and for building of a franchise System. But Management didn't update about the progress. I hoped for some water-levelreporting, 200 shops built so far, 300 in June, 500 in July and so on.But they refused to give information to individuals, nor to release an update on their website.
In the meantime i made my own research and i found some chinese internet sites with a link to a green food store. This "green food" store is not belonging to CGA, it belongs to the venture capital company of the CEO. This web shop is selling products that were bought from a CGA green hous company, but also from companies outside of china (New Zealand). I have now a good understanding of CGA and the "Venture Capital company" (Royal Tek).
I am 100% sure that we have not be afraid of any kind of fraud here. If the franchise system is fully rolled out in the next months, then I belief CGA will lift up like a rocket. Currently we have 25 days in short interest:
http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/cga/short-interest

CGA is currently trading with a P/E of 2. They never made any losen, nor were they any kind of fraud. CGA was the victim of "Ambulance Chasers).
Investor Relation has to be inproved, of course. Interesting is the sister company (Kone). They made a 500% jump in January, because better than expected results. I have some hope that we see such a development with CGA after the next Conference Call.

My worst case scenario is a "Going Private".

I bought some shares today .

I am expecting to hear some good news over the next months.
On July 24th is the Settlement Day.
Here are some, i think internal websites, Some Updates of the Nestle Deal:
http://www.techteam.com.cn/Item/Show.asp?m=1&d=2363

There is much potential in China and Coffee:
http://www.nasdaq.com/article/chinas-coffee-hit-starbucks-and-nestle-dominate-but-the-market-is-still-growing-cm259370

If CGA has done as they told us, the CGA fertilizer franchise System can boost Revenue and earnings and bring the company back on the growth road.

Humic Acid is the main product. Prices and margins are stable.

If someone want to read the employee magazines: (careful it is from the venture capital, not everything is CGA there)

Currently 25 days to cover short interest:

China's Coffee Hit: Starbucks and Nestle Dominate, but the Market Is Still Growing

"What About Tea?

Given the longstanding tradition of tea drinking in China, it's unlikely that coffee will replace tea as the drink of choice. Nevertheless, there is clearly huge potential for coffee in China. In fact, China is Starbucks' biggest market outside of the USA (http://www.starbucks.com.cn/en/about/inchina.html) , and there is plenty of potential for other Western brands. In addition, according to Caijing.com.cn the coffee-drinking culture has not yet reached its "tipping point" in China, and the coffee market occupies a relatively low market share per capita in China, compared to Western countries. However in the near future it is expected to rise steeply (http://blog.caijing.com.cn/expert_article-151538-14621.shtml) ".

I found very interesting above information from the link. Thanks. I believe consumers in Asian Pacific region led by China will create great demand for Tea and coffee in the coming years and decade. It is time to look for Agri and Food based companies in Asia including China.

My ideas are not a recommendation to either buy or sell any security, commodity or currency. Please do your own research prior to making any investment decisions.

I could see the potential for coffee to explode while travelling to Beijing and Shanghai a fair bit last year. The coffee chains like starbucks are basically where all the foreigners go to get their coffee fix, and the young chinese like to hang around these places to be seen. Drinking coffee seems to be a bit of a fashion statement, something to differentiate them from the other 1.2 billion :D.

Starbucks is far to expensive for the middle class to afford, but I can see there must be a good opportunity at some point in the future to invest in a chinese run coffee chain that will no doubt expand very quickly.

Thank you for the information.

Starbucks is going to do for tea what they did for coffee. I don’t know much about how they are going to do tea business in China. One thing we cannot forget this large population in Asian countries such China, India and Indonesia. We have to analyse number of mouths in those countries in the future. Definitely they will drink more coffee, tea and other beverages and eat more protein food in the coming decade.

Dividend payment approaching. Next Saturday is payment date. Ex dividend was already 2 month ago. I expect heavy investments in CGA over the next 2 weeks. To my statements from December 21th i have to add that CGA increased inventory at the end of last quarter because of:
>>We had an inventory of $100,583,401 as of September 30, 2014, as compared to $75,486,898 as of June 30, 2014, an increase of $25,096,503, or 33.2%. The increase is in the inventory level
was seasonal, which is mainly due to Gufeng’s $83,062,024 inventory as of September 30, 2014. Such increase was largely attributable to the preparatory replenishment of raw material at a lower price for the expected large production of fertilizer in the incoming winter to meet the anticipated large orders, as well as the accumulation of finished fertilizer products in expecting a huge demandin the near future <<

Breaking News i would say if they had official released. The CEO has 2 US listed companies CGA and KONE, and other startups in the pipe. A very promising startup is:
Jane Bai or http://www.techteam.com.cn/Item/list.asp?id=1655

The CEO signed a investmend plan with a local government owned development bank to invest 500 Million US§ over 8 Years. Jane Bai is a green food internet shop which is purchasing from CGA's
greenhouse company Yuxing and from 200 other "growers". These growers have to buy fertilizer from CGA. Beside the additional revenue generating effects, i belief, the deal frees cash flow and most import.
These kind of contract is an accolade for the CEO Tao Li. CGA's share price is only such cheap because story tellers like Geo Invest have spread lies and shorted the stock -

>>Dividend payment approaching. Next Saturday is payment date. Ex dividend was already 2 month ago. I expect heavy investments in CGA over the next 2 weeks.<<

I think that from a technical point of view (still a greenhorn) CGA is currently a buy.
CGA has 36 institutional investors. We have seen a large sell off from institution. But during the last weeks we have a new investor. Not a big story about the amount of shares they purchased. But
it seem that they are buy because of technical signals, and i am more an investigator/fundamental investor. Therefore i am happy that the chart is creating buying signals.

@Dear Sirs,

since my recommendation on April 8th, our shares have increased by 30%. We will see the uptrend until next 2 weeks. I expect earning on May 12th.
Because of the NZ production Base and the wish of the CEO to retire in NZ, it is useful to find some investors here. I expect CEO Tao Li, will handle NZ investors with more respeckt, than us ****ing US or Germans.
If you want to talk to the CFO i can provide his mobile number. He don't want to talk to me, i asume it is not only my bad english, he beliefs i am a short seller ?:(
There is a chance of the anouncement of a dividend plan during the next weeks. This will trigger a short squeeze.

This stock has as many spikes as a hedgehog...I wonder how those people who emotionally bought on those spikes are feeling now...
A chart to outline where the shareprice has gone since the thread started....This is normally a low volume stock which means TA indicators are to be treated as somewhat unreliable..however the basic stuff does show approximate entry and exits but due its low volume behaviuor any periods of high volume volatility rules and the desired entry and exit points are missed making this stock a dangerous one to invest in..such as the December 2014 sheer fall..

Longer term view...I've got no idea about this stock nor if there has been share dilutions...but chartists ignore these and look what the chart says...

A bear market period commensed in October 2013..
The questions asked..
1..."Is the bear market still operating?"....We saw the mother of all sucker rallies in September 2014,an absolute cracker, the biggest sucker I've ever seen on a chart...
2..."Is the 1.367 the bottom?
3..."Has the June peak then a trend reversal signify another sucker rally being played out?...if so then a lower low will eventuate (<1.367)
4..."The stock has been in a 2 month downtrend, is the 1.51 downward spike in these present downtrend the bottom?"...if so then the downtrend is due to end (with muliple buy signals) and signals an end to the 2 year bear market period...if not then the bear still rules and the downtrend carries on downwards and signals dont buy yet..

Best of Luck Guys with this little prickly baby...:)

@Gentlemen,

it would be a Gamechanger for us CGA Investors to have NZ Investors on Board. The currently bigggest problem for us is Investor Relation and how the CEO treat us. It is obvious that
management take not much care of us. Perhaps the source are the short attacks in the past and that the CEO blames us investor of not having absolut confidence in CGA.
We know that the CEO is a big Fan of New Zealand and that he wants to retire there. The affiliate Sister of CGA, the CEO and private investors owned Jane Bai Green Food company has
production bases in NZ.
http://www.900lh.com/goods.php?id=344

I mentioned it previous, the CEO received 500 Million US$ subsidary for the startup (Jane BAi). Farmers can sell there food to Jane Bai and can receive a up to 10% higher market price if they use Green Fertilizer. This is a large Win Win Situation for us Investors. We don't have to pay for this kind of marketing. There is so much in CGA where investors could talk about. for example these giant deals with Sino Agri.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/china-green-agriculture-entered-cooperation-130000512.html
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/china-green-agriculture-entered-second-142000491.html

Read through it. The impact is Gigantic and SINO Agri is a chinese Nestle.

What can bring this stock in one week to 10$ is the anouncement of more dividends. It is now exactly 12 month ago that the companiy announce it first cash dividend. The CEO promised us more dividends. I think that we have a 90% chance to hear an anouncement next week together with the FY2015 results.

It would be more than helpful if one of you can attend to the conference call. Investors from NZ would make the CEO proud in my opinion.

I'm stillinvested. Company Net assets are 20 times higher as the Market Capitalisation. Cash 3 times higher. Their business in China is out of Question, and the 500Million US$ Subsidary speaks for his own.
But the Investor Relation ist quite, and does not respond to US or European Investor. We need help from New Zealand. Why, because the CEO is a Friend of NZ and he wants to retire in your country.

Hi Winner,

it's a good time to buy CGA. Short selers have manipulated the last 2 weeks without succes. Q3 is finished.
I expect some data next week on how many new distributors CGA has added. Q3 and Q4 are alwys strong quarter.
If Q3 is successfull we can hope for another dividend.
It is important for us to have some NZ share holders. Are you keen enough to make an investment?

Hi Marketwinner,

in 4 weeks we will have our Q3 results. I'm beleave/hope for a small Rally. As always it depends on the conference call.
And that is exactly why I'm betting on you:)
To have an investor from NZ on the call would be good, because CEO is a fan of NZ and wants to retire there.

The shortsellers are in a mess. They have manipulated the last weeks without success. We have seen shortselling of 30% - 70% of daily volume. But it has not generated massive stop loss selling.

Because it is difficult to pay Dividends out of china because of regulation authorities. We need NZ Investors for getting a good connection to CGA's Investor Relation and the new Preseident.

We are hoping for announcement of dividend and share repurchase. Free shareholders have etablished a shareholder group that represents round about 10% of free share now. The investment here in CGA is risky but promsing. Main problem is the lack of Investor Relation work within the company. The revenue on Wallstreet has raisen dramatically. If someone wants to place a bet, it should be done shortly. Annual data is expected during the next 2 business days. Investor from New Zealand are very welcom to our group, because we know that the CEO's family are fans of NZ. Investment in CGA should only be done by men without nerves.

Over the years my Investment in CGA was a loss maker. But we have reasons to hope. Yesterday volume was up 10 times daily average. CGA has to act within end of this month to regain the listing requirements. That means they have to reach 1$. If the increase in volume will continue i will add more. We formed a group of shareholders. Currently 40 members that are owning 15% of CGA.
