Hi everyone,

I have an ASB account - I put in a buy for PEB today, 6750 @ $1.50

Xerof mentioned a partial sale, but I can't see it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you.

It looks like you got them for an average of 1.33. In you portfolio view select them and click view. That should show you the details for the transaction (not sure how long the transaction details take to come through, might only be overnight).

AFAIK your broker will go for the best price possible, so if you put a buy in at 1.50 but there is a sell in at 1.33, then they will match at the lower price.

If you are unsure call ASB, they are usually pretty helpful on the phone.

And congrats, looks like you made a quick $1,465.

No idea what screen you are looking at. You should have received an email which confirms the position.

Assuming your portfolio column headings are this:

Stock
Quantity
Total cost
Market price
Market value
Change
%

then I think you have indeed been lucky with your price (yay for you!).

As CJ says though, check your inbox - you should get a trade note, followed by a confirmation towards the end of the day.

Then it looks like a glitch in the ASB system. If you are looking at the Automated Portfolio view you can edit it by
1) Select the share
2) Click view - to see the transactions
3) Select the transaction
4) Click edit and adjust the entry.

If you want portfolio tracking and performance reporting, I can highly recommend Sharesight. It only updates prices daily and share purchases can be auto entered by emailing thought the contract notes.

Its free if you hold less than 10 different companies, and gets a bit more expensive after that. I have it linked with a Xero cashbook account which means all my accounting is down automagically.

Disc: a satisfied user, not related to the company in any way.

CJ - you wouldn't happen to be on the Expert plan of Sharesight would you? I'm interested in finding out how good the FIF reporting is?
