4 respected bankers commit suicide in the space of one week.

Suspicious fire in Argentine bank destroys bank files and 9 employees amidst a plummeting Argentine Peso.

Is something afoot that we don't know about?

I raised this on another thread and was shot down by a few

Apparently that William Broeksmit mentioned was trying to unwind 70 trillion of swaps and other derivatives when he retired from Deutsche Bank ....maybe it all became too hard and led to his unfortunate demise

Some horrifying numbers mentioned here

We have seen all this before and what happens as a result (the world never learns) but don't worry mate because this time is different

Been building a cash pile. Maybe its time to add some Gold door stops and barrels of food buried in the garden.

Quite hard to detach from some shares i believe are good investments(The pulling the trigger and selling , I'm getting better at slowly, helps when overweighting on the Macro). Anyway have been taking the top off some runners and bailing out of a few will o wisps with the intention of buying back better quality cheaper risk at reduction prices later.

Cheap money and banks just have to put it to use ......developing / emerging countries seem an easy target to take some

Reports have European banks have trillions invested in these markets ....ones that are now looking shaky

All looks like a big house of cards eh belg

Why were the bankers "respected"?

They caused the Global Financial Crisis - shouldn't they be held in contempt?

Presumably they committed suicide because they had been playing silly games with derivatives again and shorting and lying.
Even here in NZ they have caused getting on for 10% of dairy farmers to be in danger of going bankrupt by selling them stupid currency swap arrangements they didn't understand themselves and lied about.

The farmers have themselves to blame for that one.

Caveat Emptor, don't invest in anything you don't understand.

One might have just placed on that 9th floor roof

Methinks he knew too much and was, well, got rid off. Pure speculation

The third JPMorgan banker this month has reportedly “committed suicide”, as moments ago a 33 year old FOREX trader for JPM in Hong Kong plunged from the roof of the JPMorgan Charter House Asia headquarters in central Hong Kong.
The latest death follows Ryan Henry Crane, the Executive Director of JPM’s Global Equities Group, who was found dead last week, and according to a European banking source, worked closely with Gabriel Magee of JPM’s London desk who also happened to recently fall 32 stories off the JPM London roof he did not have access to...............

...time to cash up?

JP Morgan rotten to the core ( but too big to fail sadly?)

Trilions at risk

Tapering is still stimulus ....billions in Treasury Bond and billions buying the junk mortgages etc from the likes of JPM ....no wonder they want it to continue

How many of these guys jumped or pushed now
