What music do you listen to when you trade? Do you have a song that represents you when you trade?

Do you listen to such terrible music as a way to limit the amount of time you spend trading?

Moosie PM'd me to say this was his one, but that he was too scared to post it because he wouldn't know what others would think.

I'm not sure exactly what it is he's constantly craving. Probably rather not know.

If you listen carefully Tom waits changes the lyrics"heigh ho heigh its off to work i go" to "I owe, i owe its off to work i go"

A lot of people don't know Moosie used to be the lead singer in a band. Here he is singing a song he wrote about a town being a metaphor for Snakk

Haha that is brilliant.

Roger did win the Sharetrader line dancing competition in 1996, he doesn't like to brag about it.

Qoute W69 "We should really take this to the other thread.

But since you have dragged me in and is beer o'clock. ......

Gotta agree on BH. Much prefer her to that dreadful adele. If you get a chance to watch Live in Paradiso i think you will enjoy. (Adults only though).

Got pretty much all JB's albums and a few blu rays. He still gets a listen but i think he has overcooked his exposure. Live inAlbert Hall and Accoustics session 2 preferred blurays.

Edit - Paradiso, not amsterdam"

Have most of his albums, best Live IMHO Live Royal Albert Hall, however Hammersmith is a close second and studio CD The Balled of John Henry

Overcooked?? If he starts getting pl;enty of play on the radio then he will be overcooked IMO :-)
Hey it would be good to get any play!
The sound just had their A _ Z countdown - Led Zeppelin 54 songs, Deep Purple 7 -Fan of both, nothing off Burn for example, so don't know who the muppet was that made that list up. Granted most of the 54 songs of LZ you don't normally hear, so good to hear some different ones for a change
On the whole The Sound now too predictablel now, they coming up is say Queen, it will be one a few songs, even Rush if and when they play any, always the same song.
Mate and me keep thinking we should start our own radio station or ty to get a slot on the Sound :-)
Ah well still got the CD collection

Station programmers havent figured out that even the most ardent fan is going to think that after 500 plays Hotel California is going to be a bit predictable. There is so much great music out there its a shame we have to put up with what they offer.

Had pink floyds more furious madness from the massed gadgets of auximenes on the playlist this afternoon. Along with a bit of robert plant / alison krause raising sand. And public service broadcasting 2 albums - looking forward to live at brixton. Get some of that in your radio station and you'll have at least one listener.

For tomorrow got Sun Kil Moon lined up - not sure how that will go. I enjoyed Benji but not sure how common as light will go

Can't argue with that MM.
Very occasionally you get a few gems or "deeper cuts" as they call them
Though Joe Bonamassa got 2-3000 to his two concerts here, not sure how all these people heard about him, I know two I was talking to were given tickets, as their friend could not go, they had never heard of Joe. Did not see them afterwards to find out if they enjoyed it.
I got given an album of JB's by a colleague I was working with at the time - he was the only other Rush fan I knew of outside of my brother and 1 other. That how I got to hear Joe.
In saying that I went to see Rory Gallagher (RIP), the first time, I had never heard of him or his music, won tickets on Radio Hauraki! Been a fan ever since .

Got bitten by the Upgradeitis Virus and splashed out on some new gear. But also some new tracks.

Thought I'd give Roger Waters latest "is this the life we really want" a spin. Well no, if this is what hes going to come up with. A big disappointment. Maybe not as much as David Gilmours Rattle that Lock, but close. Roger has just produced pretty much same old same old but worse he's not being original. The elder statesman husky voice doesnt work - I'l leave that to Leonard Cohens last Album. The regurgitation of similar beats from DSOTM seems lazy. But the worst is the copying of the BBC announcer - hasnt he come across Public Service Broadcasting who do, I reckon a much better job.

Now off to explore some "hi rez" music which I know will be rubbish that Marketeers love but will serve a purpose in testing the new toys.

Seems like it needs the rashness of youth, with a dose of sex, drugs, and RR and on the fast road to oblivion to create the really memorable stuff

I'd just come from Tubular Beats and Mike Oldfield will be thankful RB was around at the time as will many others.
