  1. Hi Ggcc, Mollies are designed to hold over a liter of fluid before needing changing, they actually have indicators on them which let's you know when it's time to change them, not sure on a percentage basis. This doesn't apply to soiling, in that case they should be changed straight away. Most villages experience an outbreak of vomiting with diarrhea once every two to three years, often caused by the Norovirus, often introduced by a visitor rather than a resident. What's more important is how the facility contains the outbreak and how stringent it's infection control procedures are. Smaller facilities are more likely to have hidden problems rather than larger ones due less public profile and a hush hush culture. Cheers Couta

Hey couta. I heard something concerning a retirement village which kind of upset me a little. It was concerning mollies needing to be 80% full before replacing them. On top patients should being treated better in the eyes of the care taker. The biggest thing that was mentioned by the caretaker was " although everything looked good on the outside with the retirement village, she would not send her worst enemy there". On top there being a vomiting and diarrhoea outbreak there.
