    Hi Rodger...
    The TEN engines are only on a 500cycle limit before inspections are required.. I have heard unconfirmed reports that there are several issues with these engines that early indications are that issues have not been completely resolved from the earlier models.
    I won't go into details as they are unconfirmed and as you can imagine very company sensitive.
    There are now 4 aircraft parked up.. Including NZM which was the first aircraft with the new TEN engines... Both engines have been removed and sent to Singapore.
    Please be careful not to say too much on Sharetrader...
    All TEN engines are on 500cycle inspection limits including those on the two brand new aircraft which have arrived in the last couple of weeks.

    Hi Rodger.
    I agree very much with your latest post regarding AIR. This is a very serious situation with absolutely no reason for there not to be another engine failure at any stage soon.
    There is also damage to NZE from engine debris which will require Boeing to repair in AKL at some stage. At the moment that aircraft could be on the ground for up to a year....
    Of course I will not publish this the forum...
    At the moment 3 aircraft are grounded... Was four however they used the other engine from NZE to get one going again.
    Engines are on very limited re-inspections which in themelves will cause significant disruptions to the schedule.
