NZ Shareholder Association Inc are you a member?

Does anyone belong to the shareholders association.
Is it worthwhile, what are the benefits.
From what I see they are an advocacy group which do a good job but I guess the lack of direct benefit stops me from joining.
I liked their comments on Nuplex moving to Australia and it would be good to give them my proxy vote as they seem to be more aligned with my interests than say directors and company management.
Does anyone have any comments for or against.
Was it ProvencoCadmus that Bruce Sheppard described as an absolute pig months before it went belly up.
