Don't stress I like being number 1, but my reign has ended when you do the next update. Well done to whoever is the new number 1

Hi everyone,
I don't want to be rude or anything like that but since I have plenty of spare time I took some liberty and created alternative competition board for 2023. Data was taken from the last spreadsheet published by peetter. The rules are similar but not exact, a bit simplified and expanded. Details could be viewed on "Info" tab of new board. This is a "LIVE" board and data is updated regularly during trading hours.
Hope it will help. Thanks.

I think this competition would be better limited to NZX 50 companies as at 1 January each year, instead of many entries being focused on "penny dreadfuls" in the hope of finding one or two which double or treble in value regardless of whether they should/would be in ones actual portfolio. And the Broker comparitives basically stick to NZX 50 so it would more reflective of the situation of most investors.
Many thanks

Brokers have been known to select non NzzX50 stocks and take a punt
Thank you for the replies.
I want to clarify, it wasn’t an attempt to replace the original game this year. As this year is coming to the end I decided not overcomplicate it as I did not have all data and it would take ages to scan back 10 months, I decided to create some sort of back up which is somewhat close to the original rules that everyone could see what is going on on a regular basis, plus I added Ranks for individual stocks. I did explained adjusted rules on the “Info” page. Main differences are rights issue are not included and there is no adjustments for delisted companies, they just replaced with backup preferences. Also dividends calculation is a bit different, I think net dividends are more appropriate. See “Info” for more details.

Actually it’s not that complicated I used to do much more complicated things, but yes some manual entries will be required. If there are going to be some interest and unless i can find some kind of employment in the nearest future I could make it more “complicated” and accurate next time.
@ronaldson
When process automated it doesn’t matter how many entries in competition. nz companies from asx could be added for example. I have lots of crazy ideas :)
Thanks.
