Idly following up a year later, the article has since been corrected to say 83 rather than 38, and the
OneRoof property records show that the eventuating sale price price was a generous $1.25M, 17% above the quoted estimate.
Since then, OneRoof's value estimate peaked at around $1.25M in Nov 23, and has since drifted back down to $1.1M, with $1.25M now at the high end of estimate range.
So, I'll give OneRoof credit for a genuine FOMO anecdote, but the effect turned out to be short-lived. Hindsight confirms it wasn't a great time to buy.
