Bond Investment Statements

Another newbie question.

Where do you find the original investment statement/prospectus for bonds traded on the NZDX? How do you know what happens on maturity etc? I assume it would all be in the prospectus, if I could find a copy.

Two options: [1] look at when the bond was issued, say June 2006 and then look at announcement before that date and you should find reference to the bond and sometimes when they list they put out a quick summary, or
[2] Go the entity's website and most do have the original offer documents saved and usually they are in PDF format.

I haven't yet, not found any document referring to bond profile etc- good luck

Hmmmm... That's what I would have thought as well, but I'm not having much luck. For example there are no announcements at all for TCN500 on nzx.co.nz and I can't find any documentation on the Telecom website either.

There has to be an easy answer.

Details of Issue: Unsecured, unsubordinated $1 bonds (TeleBonds), with an
aggregate Principal Amount of up to $100 million in aggregate over three

oversubscription amount for TeleBonds is an aggregate Principal Amount of up
to a further $200 million, which may be all in respect of TeleBonds of any
Maturity Date, or split between TeleBonds of any Maturity Date, provided that
the maximum aggregate Principal Amount issued may not exceed $300 million.

Opening of Offer: 26 June 2008
Closing of Offer: 15 December 2008 or such earlier date that the Issuer may

The entire historical record of Trust Deed and Prospectus filing is at the companies office web site ... www.companies.govt.nz

The trick is to find the entity that actually filed ... it is often a subsidiary of the main entity.

All the information is on the web site ... it is one of the key tools of the trade for fixed interest investing.

Romulus, that's a good start I went to the DB site, but must have just had a 'boy look':)
