Comforting words from Evolve today didn’t seem to reassure the market

Down more than AIR and they had a shocker of an announcement

    * Confirmation of Year End Date: The financial year end date for EVO is 31 March. EVO expects to announce results for the financial year ended 31 March 2020 on 25 May 2020.

    https://www.nzx.com/announcements/351514

"Evolve Education Group Limited (NZX/ ASX: EVO) advises that NZ Inland Revenue has approved its application to change the EVO balance date to 31 December annually."

From no change in balance date, to massive change in balance date - to 31 December.

One of the red flags that one looks for when a company is trying to fudge its results or defer the inevitable - while it attempts to raise more capital.

Yep, we’ve both seen the good old change the balance trick over the years eh Balance.

The very reason for having a special meeting last fortnight was to get some leeway to raise more capital. The last placement was for A$0.13 and was paid mostly by the top management which is 50% more of the current sp. the current CEO has invested a lot and has a lot of skin in the game. Hope he doesn’t fail
