Scales have tilted from more sellers to more buyers. Technically this is massively oversold so has potential for a rather large bounce, but has a lot of work to do to change the downtrend.

    Disc: hold.

I predict a continuous increase in the number of Aussie ECEs and a sale and shut down of the uneconomic NZ ones.
The Aussie Govt has accepted a living with covid strategy rather than an elimination strategy so I would see their ECE situation normalize next year. They also lack the chronic shortage of qualified ECE teachers that NZ has.
I am optimistic that by the end of 2023 the price will double from here. The huge stake held by directors is a positive factor.

Strong action on the ASX today. Anyone aware of any news or just more bouncing around?

Waterman Capital sold Provincial Education to an ASX listed entity yesterday, so yes there is news and not just bouncing around.

The UK’s largest early childhood education and nursery provider Busy Bees has bought New Zealand-based Provincial Education Group, NZ's third largest ECE provider.

According to AFR, Busy Bees reportedly paid $160m for Provincial's 75 ECE centres (7100 places) and it represents Bust Bees's first foray into NZ.

EVO by comparison has 111 centres (over 8500 places) in NZ as well as 24 ECE centres in Australia.

EVO currently capitalized at $118m so looks very cheap compared to what Busy Bees paid for Provincial.

Matter of time really if EVO stays around current level for Busy Bees to make an offer which will be well north of $1.00, based upon what they paid for Provincial.

Waterman had 75% of Provincial so they doing OK this year eh Balance

As such take the Waterman 'premium' off and a more realistic value was $100m

But Canadians aren't as thick as small NZ investors
