NZ Shareholders’ – Get your Money Fighting Fit!
NZ Shareholders Assn have organised a couple of evenings about investment (to be held during "Money week").
The evening sessions will be at Quality Hotel Elms, 456 Papanui Rd, opposite ‘Animates’ on the consecutive evenings 1 and 2 September, starting each day at 7.30pm.
The first evening is aimed at those who are unsure about investing, have no idea where to start or what direction they should head.
The second evening, which follows on from the first evening’s presentation, is aimed at investors who want to increase their knowledge of the Sharemarket.
Keynote speaker: Martin Hawes (Well-known investor, writer and columnist)
Other presenters: Chris Swasbrook (Elevation Capital), Grant Davies (Hamilton, Hindin, Greene), Martin Fraser-Allen (Craigs Investment Partners).
Address given by John Hawkins (Auckland-based Chairman of the NZ Shareholders’ Association)
Cost: $25.00. (If attending BOTH evenings the second evening will be free) $30.00 on the night.

Tony Carter in Christchurch: Tuesday, 11. October, 7.30 pm, RSA Building
On Tuesday 11 October at 7.30 pm Tony Carter will talk at a NZSA branch meeting in the Christchurch RSA Building, 74 Armagh Street.
Title: “A director’s perspective”
Tony will share some of his experiences as a director of New Zealand listed companies including Air NZ and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare”
This will be open to non NZ Shareholders Association members to attend. Tony Carter is Chairman of Air New Zealand, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, and a director of Fletcher Building and ANZ Bank (NZ). Carl's presentation is this Thursday at the Christchurch RSA (74 Armagh Street). Starts 7pm. The talk looks very relevant for anybody who wants to better understand the human factor and herd behaviour in investing. If you live in or close to Christchurch and are interested in investing - this is the event to go to!

I've heard Brian speak a couple of times. He is both insightful and entertaining. It should be a great night.
