Ecclesiastes 11:2: “Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth.”

Hope NZ investors won't sell some long term businesses. I used to work in a dairy food company. They produced some various types of premier dairy products including different types of milk. They had export orders from wealthy nations including Malaysia and some kings from Islands. They could have listed on the NZX. Instead private owners sold their long term business to another company. Finally, it was acquired by leading dairy company in NZ.

Bounty Fresh Chicken is a brand under the Bounty Fresh Group of Companies (BFGC), a privately owned company operating in the Philippines. Bounty Fresh Chicken supplies live chicken, dressed chicken, and various processed chicken products, one of the most notable is their line of roasted chicken under Chooks-to-Go, and is present in all major locations in the Philippines
Chooks to go could be big competitor to kfc if they roll it out in nz?
Chooks are already quite cheap. Couldn't they just buy chooks and sell them from there. You don't need a whole supply chain to sell retail.
vertical integration allows more synergies , in aus inghams is starting too raise chicken prices so how much longer will it be before chicken price rise here?

Actually you do need a whole supply chain.
Apart from the fact that most people don’t buy whole chooks any more they mainly buy breast meat mostly, thighs, drumsticks, wings but not frames that you need to have case ready packages and some millennials don’t like touching raw chicken meat.
Quite apart from refrigerating the cold chain and the logistics of moving up and down a skinny set of islands that ditch in between is expensive to move across - let alone exporting or importing chilled chicken.
If selling retail groceries was so easy and disintermediation of the supermarkets was so alluring why hasn’t food bag gone to every house and the milkman gone the way of the Dodo?
