good to see that on this occasion, there was no apparent leak to the market, though unfortunate for those who sold in the 80s..

A bit like the relatively recent takeover offer for another dog, TIL, this is a get out of jail free card for holders.
It would be a real joke if the company supported the takeover (at $1.23) given it was listed at a over 26% higher during the IPO price 2 years ago.

Line up, line up, NZ Inc are running specials on buying flea and mange riddled mutts on the NZX this year. First its TIL, now TGH, soon CVT and next FBU ?
Really "high caliber" management in all those companies LOL...Get out of jail free for all shareholders concerned.

I must admit I still have a small few from a while back. Would you guys sell now or hold out? Every chance the offer won't go through?

Jascinda and her entire bunch of radical socialists may block this as being contrary to consumers best interests. Bird in the hand worth two in the bush / chicken coop ?
The other thing is one of the conditions of the offer is that net profit is not to be more than 10% below previous guidance. You'd be a brave man with their track record to say its a certainty that won't happen.
I'll put it this way, despite the meaningful gap between the current SP and the offer price and the fact that this "fowl" company can pay a dividend of up to 4.1 cps I'm not buying. Investors have been well and truly "plucked" with this one and those remaining might get badly roasted if this offer doesn't proceed.
I'd sell and drown your sorrows with a big helping of KFC and a bottle of your favorite poison tonight if I were you mate.
