    Post ASB - Austal

These guys make big fast boats and other stuff.

    FY14 EPS was 9c
    FY15 EPS was 15c

Cash flow has been nice and they have been paying down their debt.

Share price got to $2.50 on a beautiful trend-line and then fell off a couple of cliffs and is currently trading around the $1.20 mark.

Analysts seem to be expecting an EPS of about 14c this year, slow growth after that and they are valuing the company up around the $2 mark !

So after my great success with IQE I decided to buy another beat up stock with the aspiration that I can not do much worse on this one .

You would not believe how many trade notification emails I have got; it seems some bots are dealing in $200 lots.

Thumbs up Plain sailing so far

Half year results were not too shabby were they?

ASB was on my radar until the drop in December. As of you, you don't seem to care much about the “don't buy in a downtrend” adage, don't you?

    Good luck!

Red face Luck is only part of it - experience is useful too.

Do not buy in a downtrend is very good advice - I would recommend it to anyone as part of their strategy to making money in stocks

Downtrends end, uptrends end and there are trends within trends.

May this trend continue. Bought a few days ago after reading about this company a number of times. Tony Featherstone had an article in The Bull a few days ago so I went ahead and had the last 3 days increase from 127 to 147. Outstanding!

    Question Caught in the clapotis

Thought it odd that thirteen dollars and ninety seven cents warranted a price sensitivity announcement.

But apparently it is $13.97 million dollars.

Thumbs up Keep your eyes firmly fixed on the horizon and the nausea will go away

Significant jump in early trade (7+ %) - presumably based on the announcement yesterday that fills a gap in their timetable.

It is a bit of a rough sea, share price wise, owning this one.

    Exclamation Standby to repel boarders

Nice boost in the SP today, presumably on the realisation that Trumps policies will require lots of Austal built boats to patrol the borders between USA and Mexico & Canada.

I will presume that today's 10%+ rise is not a delayed reaction to yesterdays half year announcement but based on the expected increase in defense spending across in La La Land beneath the Moonlight.
