Confirms everything Tony Schwartz said about the demented circus clown - only Trump would claim 1.5m virus infections in the US so far as a badge of honour.

Now he wants to rig the election - anything to make it harder (or not easier) for people to vote.
President Trump sent two tweets Wednesday morning threatening financial retaliation against states that are trying to make it easier to cast a ballot during the coronavirus pandemic, saying he will “hold up” funds for two swing states encouraging people to vote absentee:

The election determines the 'electors', who make up the electoral college, who select the president. Currently Trump is in deep ****, the task is monumental to recover from. No wonder he's panicking. Also has a lower approval rating than 49 of the 50 state governors!

Actually you are wrong. He is still the favourite to be the next president...

I’m not “wrong”. The website linked must be wrong in your opinion because you believe a betting site more than the website linked. You don’t seem to realise the popular vote is not the selector of the president, even though it worked in his favour last time, it looks grim this time.

Well we are both not wrong, but the website I linked is not a popular vote based one. It is a betting one where people's real money goes on the result so tends to be more accurate than polls over time. Just saying that he is not in trouble as you like to suggest. Last time v Clinton I think most pundits gave Clinton at 90%+ chance of winning and see how that turned out.

Go back to your betting website and you will see that Clinton was also expected to win.

Yes, and the ABs were odds on favourite at thecTAB to win the 2019 RWC. I made good money with the 3.2 odds for the English team to win.

Agree, the favourite does not always win, but as predictors, betting sites are the best out there. If you go to the election betting odds site (which is an experiment in its own right) you can see that they have tested their hypothesis and it is pretty robust. They say that for example a $3.00 shot wins about 1 in 3 times. A 1.20 shot wins about 5 times out of 6. That is why the polls are not as important to analyse but the people with skin in the game or the punters are.

    Trump now completely mad.

According to Donald America needs more prayer. Seen on Aljazeera news making this strange 'more prayer' claim. He must have joined the ranks of the superstitious - the world of magic, numerous fairies, goblins, magicians and wizards and over 3000 gods. While he's busy burbling about more prayer, America heads towards 100,000 covid deaths; or 295 deaths per million inhabitants.
He has decided churches are essential. Can't somehow visualise Donald on his knees, acknowledging there is something superior to himself.

I think you misunderstand him. He thinks he is god and it is him who wants to be worshipped. Some so called Christians are doing this already and some of his flock as well around here, they might be able to better explain what we all need to do to shift this world into Trumps universe. Hail Trump in the highest ... :

Interesting article about Trump's duel with mother nature in the New York times: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/19/o...ronavirus.html

We need to reopen and we need to adapt, but in ways that honor Mother Nature’s logic, not in ways that court a second wave — not in ways that challenge Mother Nature to a duel. That is not smart. Because she hasn’t lost a duel in 4.5 billion years.
Still, Trump does. Not just his followers will suffer, but hopefully it will help to end the idiots reign. Darwin postulated the survival of the fittest - and behaving dumb is unlikely to help being fit (enough).

A view from Sacramento. . . just for a taste of US politics from outside the metropolitan mainstream.
