Tissue Therapies Limited (TIS)

has progressed its efforts to develop a treatment for human burns based on its proprietary VitroGro® technology with the commencement of animal trials today. The animal trials to assess the potential of VitroGro® as a human burns treatment are being conducted by leading Australian burns surgeons based at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. “The trials are designed to seek new and valuable data and if successful, will support the possible design of human trials using VitroGro®. We now expect the animal trials to continue for approximately 120 days, which includes a repeat of the trial to reconfirm the outcomes,” said Chairman Roger Clarke. The animal trials are managed by leading paediatric burns surgeon, Associate Professor Roy Kimble, based at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
