looks like conditions in aus for construction have nose dived since may according to ABC doesnt bode well for FBU aus operations probably seen a downturn there too.

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-...ction=business

I see FBU on the charts consolidating in a big approx $1 range at lows not a good sign , a breakdown might see price head to the 3.80 area. see what happens we will know in hindsight but i see some commentators saying peak construction reached in NZ now and talking to some scaffolders they say things starting to go quiet last couple mths in residential.

calling the bottom of the property cycle, even if they are right, which is highly doubtful - its probably just the first wave down before the bargain hunters push price back up to 60-70% of the fall and we get the killer down wave - it certainly doesn't mean there will be an extended building boom, and in any case FBU have shown themselves to be incapable of making hay when the sun shines. So its all a bit tangential to Fletchers chances of benefitting.

Analysts don’t seem to think much of the Fletcher story

Bit mean comparing it to Fonterra
