I would have thought the $300 mil would have been needed to finance the overpriced units they are building in ChCh.
Building, building, building, not selling, build more, still not selling, build more some one will buy them, build more, still not selling.Judgement day will cost FBU sharholders plenty.Bottom line;more wealth destroyed.

Good time for a buy back if you are going to do one - but i am not convinced propping up their share price is the turn around they need. Better than paying out a dividend for the long term however.

propping up the share price is not the best use of funds at all. paying there debt down would have been much better use of funds.

Agree.... Australia's property downturn is going to impact for some time. Better to wait for definite signs of an upswing and improved performance. GLH.

You can't wait to buy shares until everything is fine. As by then the share price will be expensive. FBU has refocus on NZ core business, and I think it's right direction as NZ has plenty of construction work to be done. FBU has substantial market share here. Its outlook is bright.
