Flea ridden mutt in my opinion.

Possibly if you are a trader

Maybe not if you intend to hold for a long time

    Default Stark contrast from Gaynor

'Whack-a-mole' Fletcher needs to learn from a2 Milk

The most obvious extremes are Fletcher Building and a2 Milk, which have had totally different sharemarket performances on recent reporting days....

Been musing about FBU...at least these guys are still in business, unlike many of their competitors (Arrow, Mainzeal, Hawkins etc) . So perhaps they have done a slightly better job than we gave them credit for. Disc. No longer holding.

Those other companies didn't have the likes of building products, concrete, steel, distribution divisions that contributed over $300m EBITDA in the last 6 month to FBU's result. If FBI were construction only like these other guys, they'd be kaput also I would imagine.

But going forward, expect there would be less competition, more robust costings, better margins for new projects.

Been clawing its way back from the bottom 6 months ago. Doing better than SUM companies but basically tracking the NZX50.
