Default Post FED & BOJ Meetings winners

I found some stocks have appreciated rapidly after meetings such as Fed meeting and BOJ meetings. Some stocks rose irrespective of any type of decisions as well and they didn’t t listen to any noise in the market. Similarly, these types of meetings didn’t bring good results for some nervous investors or traders in the past.

In my previous posts I mentioned that FED could raise their rates again in December 2016. However, I am more confident that FED should begin their gradual rate increase from 2017/18 onwards.

How about identifying some great winners in the market including some ETFs before others?

Some market participants are following policy decisions religiously. On the other hand, intelligent investors are looking for good businesses at attractive prices. In other words, intelligent investors and traders are taking decisions without listening to any type of short term events and they will look for trend, great value or real growth.

Great Value, growth, cash flow and trends are their friends.

As I expected, FED is also not hurry to raise rates. Now I believe even we cannot expect it in December. Intelligent investors are not paying attention to these types of meetings much and they are always looking for good businesses.

Ignore interest rates at your peril IMO

Intelligent investors should be watching with FULL attention to these types of meetings, because you'll get caught with your pants down if you don't. It's hard to argue that fundamentals are still at play these days.

NZX up 15% YTD, how much of that is actual earnings growth/future earnings potential? Or merely demand for our stocks driven by international money looking for yield?

It is time to do our own study to take wise decisions. One can take decisions according to their experience, knowledge and other related factors that they know.Home work is a must.

I agree I don’t see some strong fundamentals for some assets but there are abundant of great value opportunities in global markets. There are wonderful businesses globally. In every situation there can be opportunities. Higher NZD and higher interest rates benefited some companies. Similarly, lower NZD and lower interest rates will benefit some other companies.

As I expected Reserve Bank cut OCR to new low. Still world banks like to maintain easy money policy. I don’t expect any major rise in interest rates even in 2017.
