Indeed, add in a referendum on legalising\decriminalising personal use of marijuana in 2020 and you'd have to expect some substantially improved access for medicinal marijuana as well here in NZ in the interim, and the Aussie growers would have to be liking their chances.

so yesterday mmj went up 7cents or like 20%... today it goes into trading halt....
this is blatent insider trading... it happens a lot where companie spike the day before big news...
and yet when a company goes on a little run they get issued with a please explain

MMJ wasn't the only one, AC8 CPH, up as well, other than MMJ going into a trading halt - no idea why any of these had a run of +20% some had news earlier in the week but your right seen a couple of jumps before news in these stocks.

FWIW I do marijuana by a Canadian ETF run by a crowd called Horizons. HMMJ on Toronto.
Currently up about 40% since May/June. Expensive, but diversified in a growth industry.

So raised 17 mil at $1.10 , high of $1.65, now its $0.84ish...thats a 50%disc on the high.
After discovering that our granddaughter had leukaemia we did 100s of hours of research, with my wife managing the cancer centre,too, we have investigated this subject to the max. Bought heaps ( well, heaps for me ...) today, and wish we have found this last year, but mainly invest on the NZX . Good to see you here JT ..

Yoda I have been looking for a while for marijuana stock ,(my Sympathy for your grandaughters condition)
.I followed your link and liked the look of these guys they seem very progressive (Canada,Columbia and the scientific/pharmaceutical staff they have onboard)and their strategic partnerships.Relative few shares issued (about 86 million market cap $69 million )and a clear strategic plan
.Certainly the plant is not hard to grow it is essentially a weed, I am hopeful that others beside the management are doing the testing of the product.The marijuana marketplace is going to be very competitive hopeful these guys get ahead of the pack. I'm in
