6 mth earnings ending 31 Dec 2008...
Revenue - Up 19% to $355.2million
NPAT - Up 22% to $69.9million
EPS - Up 22% to $1.26
Core earnings up 20% to $74.4million
Intrim div up 14% to 80cents per share - fully franked
F09 Guidance - Core earnings to grow between 15 & 20%

Seems like a decent result out today. Revenue down slightly but apart from that all the figures looking good.
Company is flagging 15% growth for the full year. Market seems to like it on an otherwise bad day.
Dividend going up 19%
A few years ago was tossing up whether to buy cochlear or csl (the blood one) Luckily i chose Cochlear , seems to be going along very nicely

COH - Abnormal
This has got to be really abnormal for this company - bad news coming or just a bad day with stop losses being hit??

there was a profit warning ...... down 18% it said ,,,, and shares fell the same
$100m odd changed hands ..... that's a good day for the NZX when it is open

Sure is a long way from $80+ back in Feb...
Notice today re selldown by Bank of New York Mellon and a notice from COH re new sound processor plus trading update.
