Hi, just a curious. With ETFs etc ... it is not but what about Kiwisaver and managed funds?
Cheers.
You can think of Kiwisaver as an envelope through which to do your investing. The size and colour of the envelope does not affect at all the funds contained within.
If a particular fund within your Kiwisaver pays a capital tax, then so will you, but only on that particular fund holding. If you only hold funds that do not pay capital taxes, then you won't pay any as holder of a Kiwisaver envelope that contains those funds.
