    Default Kiri Tamihere-Waititi

The daughter of Tamahere, wife of Rawhiti Waititi, and Chief of Staff for Te Pati Maori - which is illegal btw, spouses of party leaders are not allowed to be in these position, but hey, we have one set of rules form some New Zealanders and another set for the rest of us.

This is utterly appalling and I don't quite know what to say

Note the above is just a snippet. The full video is out there

The above is simply a call to arms and an incitement of a violent overthrow of our democracy. All it will take is some nutter to listen to this (and probably less) to pick up arms or an explosive and the start of domestic terrorism will begin. Mark my words this will slowly bubble up as a civil war in NZ.

    I missed that. Nice catch:
    https://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/...est/whole.html

From memory someone was prosecuted under for sedition for vandalising the PM's office....was it Helen Clark?
    Found it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Selwyn

Maybe his case was the reason the law was changed. Sounds like they threw out the baby with the bathwater.

Thanks for the Wikipedia link. I had never heard of Tim Selwyn. He made quite a journey - from ACT to TPM. According to the Wikipedia article, the law change came after a Report by the Law Commission, and Selwyn's antics just added fuel to the fire.
