Every time I watch the morning CNBC (end of US market trading wrap etc) they talk about "Bitcoin" not always pumping it but they usually have analyst's on that do.

Seems to me the talk around commodities esp. Gold/Silver on CNBC has been replaced by Crypto ....now put this against the Commodity Vs S&P500 ratio we see the ratio at a record low even lower than peak Dotcom bubble

...IMHO the Crypto Bubble it the pre-cursor to the next BULL market is real assets like the primary assets of the earth and modern man > Commodities

--and even though the MSM/online advertising is pumping Bitcoin and others its going to continue downwards ... as a simple fact I DON"T WANT TO BUY ANYTHING WITH $Bitcoin >> and the vast amount of the masses of people across many nations also don't want to use it . its a Fade than is fading

You'd probably enjoy the Quoth The Raven podcast episode with Peter Schiffe taht was this week or last week. He has the same opinions of Crypto and Gold. Complete tool otherwise, but meh, thats politics for ya. Still entertaining.

Seems to me that it is going Up, UP then Down, Down, Down before it repeats again.

How much of your daily spend is made using Crypto?
Do you walk the walk or just talk the talk?

The difference is that the internet does something useful that joe average wants. Whether thats cat videos, porn or facebook is irrelevant, its something pretty much everyone under the age of 50 uses these days. Crypto is still about as everyday useful as wind down windows in a submarine.

Ouch. Currently at $6319 and not one single crypt in the top 100 with a green up arrow, Looks like we are heading to a new low low.

Should have chosen more propitious wording at the end there... "Close your eyes and see where it ends in 12-18 months"

Have you viewed the "The Great 2018 Crypts vs The Rest Competition" lately ... I put up SILVER SPOT BULLION NZD which is really a LONG term investment but thought it would be funny to see a Bar of silver (one of the oldest known investments to mankind) Vs your Crypto picks I see your pick is now worth $179NZD..... the Silver bar up $8 your down $821.... (from $1000 invested start of comp)

Now thats an embarrassment esp when you continue to harp on against anyone that differs in opinion .

I'd say you should be thanking Labour for your NZD gains instead

    JBmurc,
    opinions are fine but

markets go up and markets go down...
it was bad timing tipping in an up market...
    boo hoo man...
    whoop dee doo...

markets are still well higher now that mid last year when I invested the total value of crypto was 50-60 billion when I started its now around 210 billion... im doing just fine man...bitcoin was $1000 when minimoke and black peter were calling it a bubble...

Last year the entire crypto market went up 3500%... 17billion to 610billion ! geeze it all went up way too quick the higher highs the lower lows...
great great long term prices right now... as you said your silver bullion is a long term investment.... so is my crypto...

    [Removed by STMOD]

In the last year crypto has made huge traction with acceptance and adoption on all levels... even gaining far more traction than id thought... there were moments when we thought governments would topple crypto and break it down but that hasnt happened.... its all looking very very positive even though the prices dont reflect that...
its all just FUD and price manipulation...

crypto is still performing very very well over the long term...
the long term bullish movement is still intact...

Dont want to dampen your enthusiasm, but facts and number tell a different story. As predicted back under $6200 - currently on $6142. Next stop - a number starting with 5
