My picks for 2018: LBT, SP3, UBI, LPE, SMN.

I have transferred $20 into the account.

Heres some info to go with my picks:

LBT - Only FDA approved artificial intelligence, automated agar plate processing for pathology labs. 2018 should be the year they commercialise this technology. Analyst report: http://www.lbtinnovations.com/assets...T-051217-2.pdf

SP3 - Remote Solar Security Camera systems that can run on unpowered sites (ie. building sites, mining areas). The company is expanding revenues fast, expanding their product line (i.e. remote gas leak detection, LIDAR perimeter security) and has a low market cap with tight register. Investor Presentation: https://www.spectur.com.au/wp-conten...2017-Final.pdf

UBI - Owns the patent on the strips used in at-home blood glucose & coagulation testing devices with their major customer LifeScan (Johnson & Johnson) and another customer Siemens. LifeScan have an option to buy out the royalties they have to pay which with revenue growing is likely to be exercised early 2018 and which will result in a one-off payment of $51m (almost the whole market cap) + CY18’s revenues. Analyst Report: http://www.universalbiosensors.com/s...%206.11.17.pdf.

LPE - Energy retailer based in QLD (and expanding to NSW) with a niche but rapidly growing business (6% month on month) selling wholesale power to apartment blocks where all residents and the strata’s energy is combined and bought in wholesale saving the residents money compared to going direct to a retailer. Impressive growth and just turned cashflow positive. Monthly Billing Graph: http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/2017112...4j2ncjsb79.pdf

SMN - Structural monitoring systems for aircrafts, only FAA approved system worldwide and years ahead of competition. Slow industry to get adoption in but have signed a binding agreement with Delta to move things a long faster, fit out Delta and ultimately the other airlines fleets. Have also taken over their manufacturer in preparation for imminent orders. Although its been 22+ years they are getting closer and closer to commercialisation - I am hoping 2018 will be the year though I said that last year! Last Investor Update: http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/2017110...wtcqj26s3k.pdf, Takeover Announcement: http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/2017110...1fz30cf81g.pdf

Close to making this list was XTE, GNX, CFO, BGT, FLC, HZR, UUV & MPW.

Thanks for sharing Duncan22, I always enjoy seeing what's behind the picks and having a closer look at any which catch the eye
Are any of your picks already quite profitable relative to mcap?
