Results as at 29/11 shown below! Left Field continues to extend their lead, with IKE, SKO and ATM all performing strongly this week. That probably represents the highlight...Sylvester and Awidara continue to swap places, so its all a bit tight as we head into the last 4 weeks of 2019. I will get some details out shortly as to the workings of the 2020 competition (if people are still ok with me doing it). This weeks results include the impact of the PEB rights issue, which gives a slight boost to the 13 lucky people who picked it :-)!

Smile Thanks for Running the 2019 Competition - Excellent Job

IMHO I think you have done a great job

One minor matter to consider for 2020

One that only affected a very few of us in 2019 and had little impact on the overall result

Orion Health OHE was taken over and de-listed from the NZX in March 2019 when it was up 5% YTD.

It left us with four horse field running for the rest of the year ...

If it had been a stock like Oceania OCA (40% of 2019 entries picked OCA) then a much greater effect.

In 2020 would the ability to choose a replacement stock in the event of delisting be worthwhile.

    Any ideas?

Well, the only thing that changed on the week to 6/12 was that everyone's returns went down...:-)! The top 5 order is still the same...so not a lot of commentary this week. ATM, IKE, PLX, WDT, GTK, THL, TLS...all down. The only ones amongst the leaders to buck the trend were SKO and TLT. All this was good news for Dead Leaves who 'narrowed the gap' somewhat in 5th place.

SilverBlizzard has stormed back into 3rd place this week, at the expense of Dead Leaves, with Awidara dropping to 5th. Left Field increased their lead over soi6, thanks to a strong performance by WDT. sylvester maintained a strong position, thanks to ARV and MFT. ATM helped a lot of people also. But it was the spectacular rise in BLT that was the key differentiator this week, allowing silverblizzard to leapfrog into 3rd.

It will be interesting to see people jump up the charts with retirement sector quick rise near the end of this year. Thanks as always Sylvester for doing this competition

Results out to Dec 24th - I've waited for this date to make it a clean week heading to the 31st! Bit rushed to do any proper analysis today, but there are TWO newbies in the top5 - welcome to baldie and dinky! Sylvester is firmly in 3rd, thanks to ARV, and has narrowed the gap markedly to top spot. I realise this is a game with a defined timeline (piclking up on Snoopy's comments in one of the other threads) - but like many, there is a long-term investment strategy that influences my picks - and all of us probably take some good insight from each other in the oicks game that influence our longer-term decisions. Game or not - I hope it adds value. Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year to all!!!

Please remember to enter the 2020 game - and get the link out to as many people as possible! The more the merrier :-)!

Balance once again achieved his objective

In spite of the **** he’s given on some threads he’s one who should be listened to when identifying the really sad cases on the NZX

    We done Balance.
